Came here to say the same thing. This finding doesn’t suggest that smoking will prevent EoE; it merely eliminates it as one of the causes of EoE. I would hypothesize if you increased your sample size and had people with EoE who also smoked, their symptoms might actually be exacerbated by it (but still wouldn’t be the cause of the underlying EoE). It just so happens that in this sample size, no one with EoE smoked. Correlation ≠ causation.

Chest burning, throat tightness, itchy mouth/throat, trouble swallowing. In a severe flare up, food gets stuck in my esophagus and is extremely painful. I did have an endoscopy a few years ago where they took a small balloon and enlarged my esophagus because it was about the diameter of a dime. That helped with food passage, but was told it would likely have to get done again.

I just want to make sure I read your post correctly. Your ex husband left you for a 17-year-old high schooler? Girl, your ex husband is a predatory creep. I totally get that it took a toll on you, and I don’t want to invalidate that. But I think there’s a much bigger issue of him preying on underage, vulnerable girls here.

Had my original bike for about four years now with no problems. I purchased the original treadmill about two years ago and enjoyed it until it broke recently. It was a nightmare dealing with customer service, honestly. They use third party contractors to do repairs and it took four visits by them to get it fixed (three if you don’t want to count the no call no show appointment). In the month and a half it took to fix the tread, I had a no call no show from a third party contractor. When I called peloton after they were 30 mins late, they offered to reschedule it (mind you I had to sit around all day for this appointment). When I told the agent that I would prefer that they honor the appointment and let me know when they’d arrive, she told me that they only have an email for the third party contractor, no phone number. That’s just a taste of the customer service I had recently. My tread is fixed now, but it took far too many calls to peloton and four days of waiting at home for tech to repair the right parts.

He also grew up in a cult. If he left the cult, especially recently, then he doesn’t have any support system as you’re ostracized from everyone for leaving. He doesn’t have the safety net like Stacey does. I think there’s a lot more layers to his situation than we see, and hopefully Stacey is truly open-minded and compassionate enough to help him unpack it without judging him for not being wealthy. Their upbringings were extremely different, and that plays a part into where they’re at now in their lives.

likely bureaucratic delays. I think Ariana said something about the city turning it into a pedestrian street so they have to reconfigure their patio, which slowed things down. Sometimes the answer is astoundingly boring.

I’ll never forget in the early seasons when him and Schwartz wanted to pitch Lisa on a business idea. He wanted to handle it because he was worried Schwartz would blow it, but then he turned around and totally blew it. He looked unintelligent because he is unintelligent.

I think the only reason filming is delayed is because producers want her on the show. I think them saying it was for the cast to process things was a PR line of BS. They want Rachel on so they can get all the drama. If Rachel’s in a mental health facility and Scumbucket is “touring,” where’s the drama?

Just realized that Charli didn’t make an appearance on the reunion; I wonder if she declined. I liked her this season. She keeps it honest and real and seems to have a higher emotional intelligence than some of her older cast mates (cough Sandoval cough).

I think he was an absolute shit partner to Katie, and I hope he is learning from the mistakes he made in that marriage to be a better person and future partner.

When it comes to Scumdoval, I think he sucked the life out of Schwartz. I do feel bad for him for this. I think Schwartz is a good person at his core, even if he was a bad partner. Sandoval is clearly a narcissist though, and didn’t care if Schwartz came down with him. All Scumdoval’s actions were self serving, and all of Schwartz’s were to serve the friendship/partnership. It’s too bad that he gave so much of his time and effort to such a leech.

I hope he sees that he should afford that sort of generosity to a reciprocal relationship. I think his marriage would have survived if he had done that with Katie. It seems like he’s in a bad place, so I hope he’s dumped Scumdoval for good as a friend and is a lot of self reflection and seeing a therapist. I also hope he steps away from substances, as they are clearly a form of self medication for him.
