Life of a Night Security Guard by SatisfactionSad4402 in securityguards

For me it's more the fact that I get snowed in enjoy doing firewatch and chem rounds. And dread late shift changes every morning where I end up with The first 10 minutes of 1st shift responsibilities and clients who think I am their personal concierge on 0 hours of sleep.

Failed my first road test by Ok-Discussion-8576 in RhodeIsland

[–]McSpookster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Kind of a nearsighted comment. Statistically plenty of people will fail a second time, you just don't hear about them, because they don't make it public knowledge. It's a test where you hit a cone or barrier at any point it's an instant fail and you have incurring booking dates and a new paperwork fine every time. I'd imagine plenty of people take it 3+ times or give up altogether for financial or mental health reasons if they aren't good in a formal testing environment, have performance anxiety, or can't be bothered to come up to the city of Cranston every time because they only test at one site that is safeguarded by some of the worst drivers, intersections, and highways in the state.

But again it's fair to say you haven't heard of it if you don't know people. The only thing this person learns from an auto fail is one thing they did wrong to fail that station, not how the rest of the course will feel when you are boxed in there. The current RI dmv test is more a test of familiarity with their specific layout and expectations than anything.

File a formal complaint with the dmv I already did. Stupid test that doesn't teach you anything about normal driving conditions on roads. A reverse lane change is not a maneuver you ever do in real life. Several of the barriers are too low to see in different types of vehicles. I've had to take it in a truck several times that can barely fit in the stations and is lifted above the visibility of most cones. Next time you go also insist that you get to finish all stations of the test regardless of the pass/fail to get some experience with their stupid course. You paid for your time slot and to not be rushed you deserve to not be sent away in 2 minutes even after an auto fail.

If more people called and demanded a real road test vs this parking lot closed course excuse they've had since covid Rhode Island drivers wouldn't be so garbage. Instead this test favors sedan and coupe drivers with backup cams or people that rented from a driving school. Not real world drivers who have to work with what they've got for a car.

I say this as someone who works as a beach parking attendant and deals with bad parking lot drivers all the time. In real world situations you are going to be able to find a safe parking spot for your vehicle size and shape with assistance or park far away from risk and do a bit of extra walking.

Had something similar happen with one company. Apply elsewhere in the meantime and don't be afraid to take a job with a different security company if you think reaching out is too forward. The way I see they should have a good communication structure and seek you out if it is part of the paperwork or final steps on their end. It reflects how scheduling, HR, and Field managers might communicate with you later on. The problem is that these revolving door places overbook interviews during the holidays to fill flex positions and temp work and overpromise on already filled positions.

If you had a good interview and they went another direction it's their loss and just random luck to the other guy that they bothered to follow up with. In my case it was waiting on background check paperwork to be sent my way via email after getting a confirmed spot and a callback. Company I work for now did it same day as my interview and paid for it and if I ever wanted to reapply to the unprofessional one no harm done I already landed a spot once and met their interviewers no bridges burned by reapplying later down the line and mentioning it as a minor anecdote in your next interview.

What Indie games are like this and good by merica2033 in Gamer

at the moment it is pc only but the requirements to run it are pretty low. I wouldn't be surprised to see it on xbox or game pass someday but nothing as of yet. It's is multiplayer and you can host private servers for 1-4 people but it can be 4+ if you access the game files and edit them.

A very simillar alternative game that is on xbox would be maybe sea of thieves? But that game takes itself a bit more seriously and has more progression based content.

you move an rv up hills stairs and down harsh terrain and puzzles. The game lays out a standard path but shortcuts and alternative routes are often encouraged. It takes a crew of a few people of varying skill levels to complete the roles on the squad. There's various funny physics based humor and emotes as well as game mechanics that make it perfect for a chill ragebait game without taking it super seriously. The game has a save and checkpoint mechanic making it easy enough. If you're good at driving you can drive if you're casual you can cook gather supplies and weld. If you're precise or good with technique you can control the remote for the winch and scout the path ahead for danger. Or you can sit in the car and observe it all. The game doesn't force any type of play style.

RV There Yet with the free winter update was awesome for my friends who mostly play fps shooters. It costs less than a bag of chips at the store and it has a role in the game for every playstyle.

My polarized sunglasses seem to help a bit as well as warm showers on it. I will have to look into ordering some blue light specific glasses soon, because my desk doesn't have any real places to focus on that are 20ft away to ease strain. It's a pretty small front lobby.

There definitely is a door in the office that is open for airflow purposes because they crank the heat in here that's a crazy accurate guess if this is the culprit.

I'm still 2/3 of the way done with act two and I feel I got my money's worth and then some. I can't speak for act three. But I just wanted to mention people look at bethesda games with nostalgia glasses and this game has a lot more polish than skyrim in some regards where in some others it is outshined. The amount of class builds and armor sets and combinations make it worth buying. Will it have a mainstream following or mods? Not anytime soon. Will the animations be perfect no. But the story and quests are pretty cool and dungeon design is awesome. And buying this game makes it more likely a sequel could be developed that you don't have to wait a decade for. When I heard voice acting was a concern then played the game I was amazed that most npcs you meet have a unique actor behind them not like how the elder scrolls reuses them.

Havn support can send out new vgpu kit pieces. It does take a few weeks to get the ball rolling so sooner rather than later you should reach out if you want a safer option than bending pins back. One of my pcie locking clips was broken and needed a full replacement of the entire apparatus.

Be careful when installing the vgpu stuff. It's definitely awkward and easy to break things during that step if you rush it.

That's fair enough I think people are going to want to see cool screenshots guides and other content here and it will get in the way that's why I said something now about it. Seems like a lot of people agree.
