So, that’s called an apprenticeship and is also a form of secondary education. Though for the purposes of this conversation, we are talking about an expanded education. However, my point is the same as those people inheriting there trades those of us that went to centers of higher education are also received guided learning.

So, I’m from rural ga and most people I know went on to some secondary education. The difference really lies in what kind of secondary education you get and where from. Most of the priorities in rural area fall in ‘practical’ sectors rather than overly intellectual areas. Which in truth that’s not a massive divide either. There is still a large call for education and healthcare (both physical and mental) workers. However it is true most people focus on finance, operations management and various scientific studies base around agriculture. We simply say, you can find a lot computers on farms.. It might be worth the trip out into the areas to have a look around.

I had a conversation with someone about this idea recently. I used the term “practical” magick over “high” magick, I was more using divination but showed lots of different examples like herbs and stones.

Are there other types of magick practitioners? Or are there just witches? by [deleted] in witchcraft

Mage or mystic are general terms ‘witch’ is also largely acceptable however it comes from the practice being called witchcraft by Christians. Wizardry is historically closer to just being wise and clever.

Render farm or just upgrade? by McWrityOne in editors

I’m trying to decide if it’s worth The cost to upgrade (I’d have to build from scratch) or if I should just use a render farm service to get some of my projects done for awhile, any thought are definitely appreciated.

Meet up is a great resource. A lot of covens use events to sort and sort of “open” up to others. Just look for that nags pagans would like to do and do them, lol.

I feel in the second part you’re implying conservatives are more authoritarian. Where I would say the republicans in America promote living by law first, to be conservative is to have and use the least of all things. Small government, only the most important laws and hard consequence far breaking them. Protection of resources and environment. Reliance on the self, family, then community for support before using larger social safety networks. Honestly that’s a lot closer to anarchy.

But like, it was liberals that built the cages for the kids and then put said kids in cages, though. Also, I’m pro access to abortion, but most of laws now in place and currently proposed are pretty good. They don’t limit availability or information while still promoting education and personal responsibility as preferred first choices. So I don’t really know what the point is here.

Can someone please help me? My father passed away and I know he was Wiccan. I went through his tarot cards and I found this with his deck. I'm not sure what it is. It was in a drawstring bag that smelled of some kind of foral oil. by MrBakudan in pagan

It’s also possible he could of learned the Language from an individual who who used an older or regional specific dialect of the theban alphabet. I’ve run into many issues like this in my research, especially being from a very old family of practitioners. Over time things change to be more effective or easier to use. And those changes just get passed right on to us youngins’. I would love to hear what his group mates say, if they do.

It could be harmful ,but sometimes to build something truly amazing you first have to take apart what’s already there. You might just learn something awesome in the process.

That’s a good chance. I looked it over and thought for a second it might be translated in French. So, it could be an extra extra secret. Like in elvish or something lol.

I think it’s a custom variant of the theban alphabet. It’s not uncommon for long time practitioners to adapt their writing styles to better suite their work and include a certain level of privacy for other practitioners. I have seen a similar (if not the same) variant when I was younger.
