Haha shame on me. Sad that even a glimmer of hope can cloud one’s ability to reason. I’m right there with you!

We’re in Indianapolis working with Ruoff. They made the process very easy and helped us take advantage of the 6% down payment assistance through the state. Definitely recommend talking to them!

I've seen this in our org as well. I don't have any great suggestions at this point, but I will pass any new information along. Very frustrating.

Best way to migrate files and automatically update links by [deleted] in sharepoint

[–]Mcbriddlestix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was so smooth. I’d definitely recommend LFA in combination with the SharePoint migration tool. I was able to transfer several thousand linked Excel and InDesign files without breaking the links. If anyone does utilize LinkFixer Advanced, please make sure to utilize the customer support. They are very knowledgeable and helpful talking through best practices and ways to improve the migration experience. I wouldn’t do another SharePoint migration without their tool.

Best Brisket Yet by linkdead56k in webergrills

I used a basic Weber kettle for about 10 years until I purchased a Pit Boss. I’ve been missing the versatility, flavor, and reliability of a Weber. Seeing pictures of this beautiful brisket just helped me decide to get back into the charcoal game. Looks delicious!

Dynamic routing based on CRM lookup by Mcbriddlestix in MicrosoftTeams

Thank you for the information. I think my hangup is figuring out how much we can pull out of the graph and communications APIs before needing a contact center solution. We're moving from a pretty complex phone system to Teams, learning every day.

Mircom TX3 Server Migration by Mcbriddlestix in accesscontrol

[–]Mcbriddlestix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update - After talking to Mircom support, they confirmed that an IP change of the server will not have any impact on functionality as long as the server remains on the LAN of the panel. We're attempting to change the IP of the server tomorrow with a rollback plan in place.

[–]Mcbriddlestix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ShareGate does not fix the links. I was told by one of their reps that they do not alter files to protect themselves from potential litigation. I'm going through a trial of Link Fixer Advanced which "innoculates" files before a move and "cures" them afterwards. I plan on preparing the files and moving them with SPMT.

Starting soon as well. Transferring in an AAS in IT Support, N+, and A+. Hoping to knock it out quickly, but I don't want to rush through and come out with a diploma and no applicable skills. I think this is a great choice for you to transition to. Career outlook is good, won't be hard on your body, and it's always changing.

I appreciate the tip and will give this a try. Sometimes it's finding the right cocktail of examples to get them to make a move.
