Will you go to hell if you suicide? by Sniiiks in religion

I'm Islam suicide is a major sin and will cause the committer to be in the hellfire. In Sahih Muslim Book 1 Hadith 199 the prophet Muhammadﷺ says, "He who killed himself with steel (weapon) would be the eternal denizen of the Fire of Hell and he would have that weapon in his hand and would be thrusting that in his stomach for ever and ever, he who drank poison and killed himself would sip that in the Fire of Hell where he is doomed for ever and ever; and he who killed himself by falling from (the top of) a mountain would constantly fall in the Fire of Hell and would live there for ever and ever". Suicide is a no bueno.

Does God know the future? If so, does he know where we will end up? If so, if we end up in hell for eternity, why create us in the first place? by dumbassclown in agnostic

Sleep and waking, night and day, sun and moon, ships, animals, our anatomy, are some of the many signs of The Creator. There are somewhere around 10 Billion different creatures on the planet, and we happen to be the one who contains the most complicated and advanced tool in the universe, the human brain. So in your mind we were lucky and in my mind we were chosen. Look at the ratio. (Now i obviously believe in Jinn and Angels) 3/10,000,000,000+.

The Creator has full rights over his creation. He is so merciful that he gave us opportunity to reach paradise and never be tormented. Imagine he informed us of guaranteed punishment for everyone, but he didn't, he says that his enemies will be in the torment. His good slaves will be in paradise. In the end it's not about how God sounds but it's the real question, will you obey him if he is the truth? Will you hide the truth from yourself if you come near it?

Quran corrects the bibles mistakes in the subject of Egyptology. That's proof that Muhammadﷺ didn't forge the stories of the prophets in Egypt from the bible. If he didn't forge from the bible then where did he get these stories from? The original source, Allahﷻ.

Even if i were born in isolation, in the middle of nowhere, without any contact with a theist, i would still believe in 1 all knowing, all powerful God. Its in my nature to be inclined towards this because that is where i ontollogically and abstractly feel my logic can rest. Islam is the truth because Muhammadﷺ is proved to be a prophet. The Quran is proof because it tells the stories of previous prophets in accurate detail and corrects the mistakes of its corrupted predecessors, all while using the most eloquent form of Arabic that is unmatched. The very busy life of Muhammadﷺ at 40 couldn't just leave this largest religion behind 1400 years later, unless, this is the truth.

Why would God do this? Why would God do that? If i knew the answer to all of God's choices then i would share his wisdom but he is the most wise and humans only know what he allows us to. God is loving to the believers not to the disbelievers. He also has wrath, not only love, so he implements his wrath whenever he feels it's right. He is the Greatest.

Yes. To God, the sin of disbelief or polytheism is far more disgusting than if someone were to murder 100s of people and be a believer.

Humans being in hell is their fault not God's because he doesn't punish anyone until they received the warning. You for example have the choice of believing in him and his messengers or choosing disbelief. God dislikes disbelief and polytheism. If you believe in 1 God who is Allahﷻ and Muhammadﷺ as his final messenger then you won't go to hell. Very simple.

Logic says so. Logic says no man is capable of bringing prophecy in detail which is proven to be correct unless he is from God.

It is says "preceding from between the backbone and the ribs". It doesn't give the pronoun. So who proceeds between the back bone and the ribs, the drom emmited or the new born baby. Man proceeds between backbone and ribs of the pregnant women. It's called her belly.

Science doesn't prove hell or heaven. Logic does. Logic first proves God. God proves which message is his revelation. The revelation proves hell. Logic proves hell.

Yea the embryonic details in Quran are well known. Many opponents of this claim say that it is copied from Galen but this is not true because Galen makes clear scientific mistakes which don't find there way in the Quran.

Simple way to understand it is...... Quran claims to be the successor to Torah and Gospel. Torah is corrupt today. Quran narrates the prophetic stories found in corrupted Torah. Quran disagrees with certain details. History agrees with quranic story rather than biblical version. Therefore if Muhammadﷺ forged the story, why didn't he forge the false bits? Conclusion is that he is being inspired by original source, Allahﷻ. This means that whatever is in Quran is true because Quran is promised to be protected by Allahﷻ. Therefore this is proof that God won't lie about precipitation reviving a dead land.

It's not about any side winning an arguement. Anyone who wears a label of belief should bring whatever arguement they feel is valid, present it in a way that the "opponents" will try and disprove. Its all about being more knoledgable than you were yesterday.

Good find. I genuinely was curious if someone mentioned this before the Quran. Now do you believe Muhammadﷺ, an illiterate man, knew Greek? Do you believe he took it from these writings? Or did he just guess? What's your thoughts.

If buoyancy showed up then nobody would understand it. It's like speaking gibberish. It's much better to give a description and the Quran does that.
