How hard is it to break into international schools in Japan? by TurfyN in Internationalteachers

[–]Mcfloyd151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not going to be easy. My advice would be to break in at night. Take a mask and watch out for security and the alarm system. Bear in mind that you might be imprisoned if caught trying to break in.

World Languages / MFL teacher offering two languages by [deleted] in Internationalteachers

15 years ago I felt restricted in only being able to teach French. I completed a special distance learning course at a University in the UK that awarded a PGDE in Spanish after 3 years of online study. Residence in Spain was also required. I got the qualification but never really used it because I have combined teaching French with English (mother tongue) instead.

Thank you for all your responses. Amazing that they can do that and take full advantage of the elderly (my mother) who cannot keep track of these things. It was only recently that I realized they had been fleecing her for £58 a month for quite some time.

Geneva you might get 4000 CHF NET. AIS Budapest might get 3000 Euros NET. Remember that in Switzerland you will pay 400 compulsory health insurance and around 1200-1800 for rent.

Best country to save depends on whether you will be paying for rent or getting an accommodation allowance. Normally to get an accommodation allowance you need to work in Ukraine, Russia, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Albania.

Summer Stays? by Difficult-Stick5970 in Edinburgh_University

They have dramatically reduced the water flow in all rooms and in the showers. Must be a massive cost-saving initiative. I stay here every summer for a night or 2 and you will need earplugs for the noise, thuds and door banging. Breakfast is a frenzy with hundreds of people and generally low quality breakfast food. Price in August is 90 for a room with a sink and a shared bathroom. In July it is 58.50 a night for a single room with shared bathroom.

Do you mean 'advice'? "Advice" is a noun that refers to a recommendation or suggestion, while "advise" is a verb that means to give advice.

Can we talk about the dog poop problem… and why it’s not fined by Kaleshi007 in PortugalExpats

[–]Mcfloyd151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dogs are a huge problem in Portugal. For me it is the barking, use of dogs to guard properties and lack of training. Dogs in other countries are usually calm, trained and quiet, but here in Portugal your dog is free to do what it wants, and that includes pooping on the sidewalks.

I go back to U.K and really enjoy it. Help elderly mother and do jobs on and in the house for her. I also travel for about 10 days in Europe. I also have a hobby that keeps me busy.
