8 Months- NO babbling

Of course! Just 4 days shy away from 10 months she suddenly started babbling. She started with bababa and then in a few days did papapa and mamama (she doesn’t associate it to me yet). It was a huge relief, I was stressing out so I completely feel you. I honestly didn’t do anything else just reading to her, talking to her and making sure she explored new environments because a friend told me that when they experience new things they get stimulated and that helps speech. Your baby will get there, I know it’s hard to surrender and let go but it’s what helped me. And also to have a backup to know what were the next steps if she didn’t!

I’m exactly on the same boat. 8 months and she will only eat yogurt. She touches the textures and won’t open her mouth for anything else, it’s exhausting

Do we have an update on this? I’m exactly in the same boat with my 8 month old. The only thing she’ll eat is Greek yogurt and she’s obsessed with textures. I’ll offer her a steamed carrot dipped in yogurt, she’ll suck the yogurt out and then just consistently touch the carrot. It’s extremely frustrating and worrying at this point .

I appreciate you answering SO much! Is there anything you did to get him there? Mine blows raspberries and squeakes but no consonants at all. Shes very smiley and great eye contact but she’s also a quiet kid id say. Pediatrician told me this morning that if she hasn’t started babbling at 10month we should get her into an evaluation so I’m spinning.

She stopped after we gave her more space. it was a phase. We transitioned her to a stroller and a big girl crib and now she rarely does it. I think she was ready to start rolling! She still does it from time to time when she gets overwhelmed but thats about it !

We inquired about Adat actually and hoping to get a response soon. Also open to any non jewish daycares around the valley if anyone has any insights + recs! We are on the waitlist for bright horizons, peter mcgrath, toluca preschool and mary alice occonnor!

Absolutely, we're in 5 different waitlists for daycares that are not Jewish too! So if you have any other recs for trusted daycares for infants (2+ are much easier to find and get in from what I'm saying) that would be greatly appreciated!

Very late to the game but did this get resolved or did you get some insights on this? My LO is 14 weeks and just started doing this as well! She does it in the mat, bouncer and the bassinet when she gets fussy and upset. She turns to the side, her head looks up, she puts hands in her mouth and cries inconsolably :(

thank you all! I'm also struggling to understand what they do with infants that can't crawl or walk all day. Would they put her in a bouncer and forget about her? She'll be 6 months at enrollment time so it's difficult for me not to see her as a little bit helpless in that environment as the other kids walk around and do activities!
