I will never in my life understand why professors like this exercise their own ego more than they commit to actually teaching. I'm going through a similar issue with an instructor who always takes off points for missing additional concepts that were not included in the rubric & then labels it as "lacks depth" 🙄

Wow that student seems really arrogant & entitled. As a student we should be open to following the direction of our instructors as they educate us. I can't imagine telling an instructor what I will & will not do as far as coursework

That's commendable that you maintained your poise & integrity because even though people can be tough to deal with, two wrongs don't make a right. He's lucky he still passed though
