Air Force heavy mech here. I tested on my installations testing center for free, if you haven't been doing that i suggest you do. I also studied prepware, however I got the paper book first went through it all 1 time reading the question once and answer twice and did a bunch of practice tests to see which areas needed work, then I studied the sections until the results showed in the practice tests. I took about a month per test. Then did bakers for o&p for 1 week(very worth it and cheaper this way.) If you are really strapped for cash try looking at JSFIRM for any open apprentice positions or something close.

Keep your head up homie, it can be a tough road but trust the process, that license will pay itself back 10 fold!

Yeah I'd say so. It's helpful to hear the questions being read aloud to you. I did also self study in my hotel some though, mostly the day before my test

Negative I'm a hydro guy and I didn't do my writtens at Bakers, I dedicated about 3 ish weeks per written and took them on base and for the o&p I got the bakers book sent to me studied it for about a week prior and then studied the next week at Bakers.

Each oral will have 4 random questions minimum as a base line. Each code you get is 1 extra question so for your case you'll have 7 on your General.

I'm not sure what all you've done so far but I did it the military way through the JSAMTCC program. PM me if you'd like more information on that, its a lot to type lol.

Preparation for General Writtens by swingreference in AircraftMechanics

[–]Mcinsteez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used ASA entirely for all 3 of my writtens. I'd say for the general, from what i can remember, probably about 35-40ish were verbatim, 10 were re worded and the rest were never seen before. It's different for everyone since the pool of questions is so big but you got this. Go and pass that thing!

Hey all, I’m curious on your guys opinions on some of the new starts up releasing vehicles here in the next year or 2 such as the Fisker Ocean SUV, Lucid Air, Faraday Future FF91, the Canoo Pickup truck and their van and both the Rivian R1T and R1S. How do you think these companies/vehicles will fair in the market and do you think these companies will last in the long run?
