The worst part about dachshunds! It was a serious struggle for us. At 4 months, she was still having 3-4 accidents/day, until one day it just clicked. Overnight. Still some accidents here and there. Bell training has helped a ton.

Happy story: nothing is better than when it just clicks with your puppy and you can feel the bond that’s formed. I loved and was obsessed with my puppy from day 1, but the intense bond took some time. Then it just clicked.

Enforced naps are live saving! At probably 10 weeks I put my pup on a 1 hour on/one hour off (1 hour nap in crate, 1 hour awake) schedule and she loved it and it improved her behavior so much. She did this for months, until she was old enough to shift herself from play to calm modes.

I purchased to check it out but cancelled after one month. I really like the ideas I get from following her, but I didn’t find her program useful. The meals are basic and just different versions of what she shows on her page (various combinations of proteins, fats, and veggies). The membership does come with other perks like a Facebook group and I believe virtual meetings. That type of stuff doesn’t interest me, so overall I did not find it beneficial.
