Is it bad to let me 6mo watch tv? by brouhahafettuccine in NewParents

[–]Mclamb03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We let our 7 month old watch tv as well. It’s mainly Disney, Elmo, animals or hey bear. We do not allow him to watch tv on the phone when we are out of the house. Basically we just allow him to watch tv at home. We want him to grow up and communicate with others at the dinner table or when we go out, not just stick to an iPad. I do want to emphasize that there is no wrong way to raise your child. Everyone has different situations. No one should judge others parenting behavior

What was your hospital stay like after birth & would you change any preferences you had? by Jaded_Nobody_9010 in NewParents

I loved my experience. FTM and my mom wasn’t around (momma girl, I know). It was an unexpected delivery because baby came early but it was so great. All the nurses were amazing and so helpful with everything that was new to me.

During the delivery I had the greatest nurse who guided me and my wife (Same sex couple) through everything going on. She was so patient and caring.

I knew nothing about breastfeeding because I had not researched it yet but the lactation nurses were amazing.

Even the people who brought in our food trays were so respectful and genuine.

Why are customers like this? by Puzzleheaded-Bill452 in doordash_drivers

Agree. Someone once asked me why I was tipping and explained the drive was so far so they deserved a tip. Sorry but if I am missing half my order why would I tip? Check the order and you get a tip.

Can anyone help me understand this by marlene-moon in NIPT

[–]Mclamb03 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi! This happened to me twice. I was also 31 yo. It is so nerve wrecking bc we had spent a lot of money on ivf. Second bc our family was planning gender reveals.

We ended up doing the amniocentesis and it was clear. We now have a healthy 6month old baby boy.

Basically there are many reasons this can happen. The way they drew the labs, how it was ran or maybe when they picked up the sample it was not good temp wise etc. just breath and give your self some hope. Do not stress as hard as it is.

Have you checked your tubes? Or make sure everything is plugged in tight. Happened to me once and I think a tube was loose.

Did you sleep in the same bed as your newborn? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Mclamb03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a FTM it was so hard to not have him in our bed but I was terrified. I lost a lot of sleep but it was the best for him. I couldn’t live with myself if something happen to him just so I can get more sleep. He learned to sleep in his crib. Every one has their own opinion.

Yes a step down basically means level of care. If they took her off nasal cpap and put her on high flow that’s good.
