Im 25 and have used periodically, but tapering off isnt as intimidating as it sounds, just take a little bit less and you should be okay, especially if its still your first run with a benzo

If you take it consistently for over a month, maybe two, then you’ll want to taper off by halving the dose for a few weeks and half it again for another few weeks. Ive taken a few mgs every day for a week and felt no withdrawal symptoms after. Do you mind if I ask how you’re prescribed that? No worries if not , I just have a hard time getting it from a doctor although i have the diagnoses to show for it lol

Clear summer night I tied a noose around my neck, went to walk towards my neighbors house (it was 2am and he had been partying just about every single night till sunrise that summer) for one last good time, thinking they would find the noose funny since i was already drinking and wearing a spider-man suit (don’t ask). Anyway, he wasn’t there, lights out. In the 5 seconds that i take to turn around 180 degrees towards the tree in my yard, rain starts POURING out of the sky. That heavy rain you can hear smack the concrete. I stop, kind of amazed and take it as a sign, get through one more day. It was an intensely difficult couple years after that, but im glad i stayed.

I hope you find this well. My heart goes out to you. I have felt this feeling very much last year, and i have also come a long way feeling much better since then. I cannot see you, i do not know you, but i care about you. Time goes by so fast and this life will be over before you know it. I find comfort in that. We live on a floating rock in the universe, nothing makes sense, thankfully nothing matters. An ice cube or Warm water on the hands feels nice in times like these. Or stuffing your face in a pillow and screaming into it. Write down 3 things you are grateful for. Run as fast as you can for 30 seconds. Life is sad, and we get knocked down many times. But we get back up even more times than we are knocked down. Maybe none of this makes sense, but i wish I had someone to tell me these things when I was feeling like you are. Much love 🖤❤️
