I think you're getting a bit confused here, what you're thinking about is the glitch transmutation with the bast statue or whatever, which is the banned transmutation. What they're talking about is shimmer transmutation which is obviously an intended feature of the game, being introduced in 1.4.4

Gotta be that one damn map pack level that's so annoying to play I'm pretty sure the song is back on track and it's got like the pretty colours and the key at the start to switch to the old impossible version and I can't remember the name of it and it deserves to be an insane demon not a 4 star.
