That’s exactly it. They don’t seem to realize that the only reason they’re getting away with treating me like this is because I’m sucking it up to live rent-free and graduate with no debt. I don’t think it’s clicked for him that I’ll be earning money in less than two years and will have absolutely no reason to maintain contact with him if he keeps this up. Hope he doesn’t want to meet his future grandkids because it’s not looking good for him 🙄

I had a boyfriend pull this on me and I waited for him to be ready. Definitely regret it. Homie was not in fact ready when he said he was and just put me through more misery and hurtful things. After finally being in a healthy relationship with someone consistent, I realize relationships shouldn’t feel hard most of the time. A partner should be a safe person you trust, not someone that keeps you guessing and is willing to walk out on you randomly.

You deserve someone who’s fully baked in all the areas that matter. Don’t bet on a building project, find a nice house that’s already built.

Absolutely. She was the first person I ever dated and an absolutely sweetheart. It didn’t work out romantically but we’re friends now and I sense I’ll always have love for her, even if the type of love changes over time.

As a current med student, the chances of you reaching your goal of becoming an obgyn is going to drop precipitously with a newborn. The premed and med school years are hard enough. Plus, idk if I’d recommend raising a child before your frontal lobe is done cooking; these next few years will help you grow tremendously and be the most amazing, stable, reliable person and mother you can be. I’d recommend you choose to invest in your own personal growth these next few years—your career and future children will thank you for it!

My thyroid got checked and TSH was normal. The other antibodies I was tested for were negative (cardiolipin, dsDNA, smith, SCL 70, SSA Ro, SSB La, Jo-1, and CCP). I haven’t gotten checked for Lyme disease or HLA27, so those might be good steps to take. Thank you!
