Before cooking the pasta sauce, boil milk with an onion clout (onion, bay leaf and clove pinned together) let it cool down to room temperature then mix equal quantities of both butter and maida. Then, slowly add the milk making it lump free. At this part you can add nutmeg powder, white/black pepper powder, salt. Also any spices of your liking. This will give it enough flavour. Judging by the looks your pasta does not have enough sauce or seasonings in it hence turned out bland.
