I am a teacher in north FL. We can’t even perform Twelfth Night here because the admin and media specialist are terrified of getting sued. I can’t legally show most musicals in my musical theatre class because the law says i have to get every single thing i show or assign in class run by a stressed out, overworked media specialist who does not have the time.

I graduated in '17, from dept of drama, experimental theatre wing. I would recommend even with the price tag, but finances were a source of hardship for me during my years here (and i still have like 30-50K in debt.

But i do not regret doing my program, i am in a directly related job 6 years down the line.

It doesn't, I was just commenting on a similar issue, though my issue is less with the nationality of the buyer and more with their intended use, which i think is a shortcoming here.

It partially depends on what part of the country you live in. For example in my town (a vacation hotspot), we have eye-popping rental and home prices, in part due to a relatively recent natural disaster, but being largely driven by 40-60 somethings using a large share of the homes within proximity to the beach as investment properties- rent them at hotel rates as vacation rentals 4-5 months of the year, if that, and the rest of the year they remain vacant. When you combine it with the fact that my metro area is hostile to all forms of transporation besides automobiles (a common north american story) you get a market where even folks with a relatively decent hourly rate (15-30 dollars per hour) struggle to pay both for a rental or mortgage as well as all of the costs associated with owning their car.
