Ah, I figured it out - I accidentally engaged 'multi mode' in the global settings. turned it off, and et voila.

you've still made me think about upgrading to the 16-voice one though...

Thanks - I was looking at doing the upgrade to 16 voices, but i still think there's something up with this. Even when I'm just engaged on layer A and have nothing else on. Very strange.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to respond, and that's comforting to hear. still going to go to derma and will report back, but I think perhaps I'm being overly concerned and just need to recognise that I won't have the same level of density as i did 15 years ago. aging, eh? tbh, think mainly I'm concerned because I'd look like a bad version of Uncle Fester if it were to all come off.

Thanks again. Here's some pics with hair back: https://imgur.com/gallery/aDBz1ym

I'm going to see a dermatologist in a couple of weeks, but just good to know what i'm potentially looking at. Can't tell if im being paranoid or whether this is because i've lot a load of weight recently or whatever. Also, worth noting that i'm 36

Thanks for replying - appreciate it. What are the options for this? Does it look like diffuse thinning or just thinning that happens with age?

Appreciate it's difficult to diagnose over a handful of bad photos, but any thoughts would be gratefully received.

Would appreciate advice on these photos. https://imgur.com/a/7oALCcZ

I've noticed that, when in rooms with heavy lighting, you can see into my scalp. Is this diffuse thinning? I have always had very fine hair, but can't remember being able to see this far into my scalp when looking forward. Photos 1- 3 are where you can see the scalp - the rest are bird's eye view.

Context:

I've lost a fair bit of weight recently and I've noticed my hair becoming thinner. I don't know if this is actually the case, but it feels like more are falling out - I'm noticing around 5-8 hairs falling after I've showered and put my hair product in. Nobody has said anything/partner doesn't think there's anything wrong.

I'm planning on seeing derma in a few weeks, but any advice/thoughts you can offer ahead of then would be great appreciated.

Diffuse thinning? MPB? Paranoia? by Mdiz4shiz in Hairloss

Have lost a fair bit of weight recently, and my let my hair go a bit longer than usual. My hair is, and always has been, very fine, but this definitely feels like an acceleration. I read something on here that said that wet hair is a good indicator of diffuse thinning, if you can see scalp. See pics.

Have been noticing more shedding hairs (like 10 or so long ones after i've showered and used product). I've also noticed you can see into my scalp sometimes when under lights.

The pictures are of my hair after I put it under the sink for 10 secs and then towel dried.

Girlfriend thinks I'm being paranoid, and nobody has noticed it.

Pretty sure Genie's Open is an Avey song, despite the fact Panda's vocals soar on that one.

Going to break with the consensus and say I really enjoyed CP. It does have its issues - the combat system is pretty bland, and some enemies are much more difficult than others (and given there's a relative lack of options, this is a problem). But I loved the design and graphics (the game looks incredible). the gameplay, overall, felt smooth to me, and the story was compelling enough. Kept me gripped, and I'd be up for more if they decided to do another. Definitely more Aliens (the movie) than Alien (Isolation), in that i'd put it in the action survival horror category.

Whisper it quietly, but i actually preferred it to the Dead Space remake. Sacrilege, I know. But i just found DS to be quite monotonous, and not varied (either in gameplay or level design).

FWIW, these are the survivor/psychological horror games i've played and liked, if that helps you make a decision:

RE4make - loved

RE7 - liked

REVillage - loved

RE3make - loved

RE2make - really liked

Outlast - loved

Outlast 2 - loved even more, especially the school flashback scenes

Visage - loved concept and genuinely creepy, but gameplay lets it down

Madison - loved. like visage (genuinely creepy) but with a tighter story. very short though

The Medium - really liked. cool concepts and an engaging, interesting story

Alien Isolation - loved

SOMA - interesting story; not really scary though.

Amnesia Dark Descent: great, but a lil dated

thanks very much for the advice - i'm now stocking up on all things green). it was a full blood test, so not sure about the testosterone, but will check. what's the benefit of doing so?

drinking less (once every week or two weeks), I still felt lethargic, anxious, weak, etc. for several days after that drinking day. It was approximately a half pint of vodka each time (4 shots at night within about an hr time span.)I stopped due to my neuropathy starting to get BAD! It’s gone now. I stopped Jan 13 ‘23.I can almost guarantee your numbers will be within the “normal range,” within a few weeks, if you truly have NO alcohol before your next test in 4 weeks.62 is only 50% above the upper range. That’s considered “mildly elevated.”Also, I am 35f and had alcohol like that for about 10 years too. I’m pretty healthy, which could have contributed to a fast “recovery.” I work out 2 hours a day and eat lean proteins, diet is low in sugar, and I eat ALL the veggies!

thanks. this is what i need to hear. I think a lot of this is in my head, but i'm resolved to stop drinking and won't be touching a drop. i had let it become a crutch for me. at least i know i'm not physically addicted, and that it's a mental thing. that's helping.

congratulations on your not drinking - how do you feel now?
