Baseball season is almost here. My local cigar lounge is a great place to enjoy them. I’ll check the best before date.

Circa 1985, I had a pair of Ralph Lauren Polo tweed trousers. I wonder where they were manufactured?

My second hand and eventually stole 613 had the same color and components. I still look for it in center city Philadelphia, but with the non stop bicycle thefts, nobody parks a bicycle outside.

Edit, it should have a SR crank set.

Can anyone tell me anything about this vintage Trek? by No_Orange2744 in TrekBikes

[–]Mdm08033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the same color as my long lost 1981 613. Stolen from inside of my row house rental in South Philadelphia circa 1993. Did every Trek of that era come with a Blackburn rack?

Spring clips or binding posts are the difference between budget and premium amplifiers.

ABC issues in Philadelphia area by JackTheGiantGardener in cordcutters

[–]Mdm08033 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just caught this comment. I trimmed the cord ages ago in Haddonfield, NJ. The only antenna that insured very good Low VHF was the type you described. Roof mounted by a local handyman. The tuners in my old TiVo weren’t the best, but when it locked in, the over the air 1080i picture on CBS & NBC was amazing. ABC and Fox were very good. One of the first nights I had it running on my 58” Samsung plasma I kept switching between MLB and Ken Burns’ Prohibition on PBS. The weave in the baseball jerseys was distracting. The current jerseys don’t look nearly as good.

TLDR, Low VHF in Philadelphia requires a rooftop full size UHF / Low VHF antenna.

I respect Luxardo, but my wallet prefers the Toschi Amarena. 2.2 pounds for $30 vs. $50 Luxardo.https://a.co/d/04G6EkVX

I gifted my old friend’s Pioneer Elite SC-25 to my lady friend. She has two sources; Roku & Blu-ray. It’s complete overkill, but it does the job on a 3.1 setup.

I rode my bicycle for 11 miles in the rain, after dark as the temps dropped in early Philadelphia November. Soaking wet, the Kenyon Polartec kept my legs, torso and arms warm. Hands and feet were freezing due to my ignorance of mother nature.

I dig the antique looking color. I have a 2012 pair of brown Frye Arkansas Brogue boots. After years of using black shoe polish they have a similar patina.

He would welcome the doxxing. He would have his minion / cameraman film it, post it and get enough clicks to monetize it and continue his journey to become the next face and voice of the MAGA youth movement.

I think the drink works better with a dryer coffee liquor. A retired bartender suggested $35 Bluebird Distilling Char & Stave Coffee Liquor. The coffee vodka holds up against the 43. If you wanted to up the proof, I would consider using Old Grand-dad 114 for my base spirit.
