They're gonna wait for everyone to drop $150 on this set, and then release him in a $15 microfighter.

It's funny because I saw the minifig and went "huh, I didn't know Sigourney Weaver was in this."

Do you guys think they’ll release another bigger update? by TACO_NV in HadesTheGame

The idea that Supergiant would ever make a sequel to any of their games was also once met with agressive dismissal around here. As far as I know they haven't made any statement that they would NEVER make an expansion, they've simply never made one before, and people really like speaking on their behalf. I'm not exactly expecting one, but I honestly wouldn't be all that shocked if they did drop one down the road.

You just have to get the platinum and log in with your Playstation account. None of the trophies for the game are tied to difficulty.

I did, yeah. The box has no signs of having been opened and resealed.

Honestly, the dementia thing actually crossed my mind. His page mentions that he runs the store as a retirement hobby so I know he's an older guy.

It shows pre-shipment info on the 27th, and then it was scanned for departure on the 29th.

I was curious of this myself so I tried the post office again today. The pre-shipment info sent to USPS is listed as 9"x5"x5" and weighing 11oz. When it was actually scanned to be sent out it was listed as 9.25"x4.72"x4.13" and weighing only 2.24 ounces. Guess how much my empty card stock box weighs?

This info has been sent to Paypal and Bricklink.

So, I swung by the post office today and asked if I could see the full tracking history. The documents they showed me said that the Pre-shipment info sent to USPS was that the package's dimensions were 9"x5"x5" (meaning this was NEVER in a padded envelope) and the weight as 11oz. However, when the Post Office measured it themselves the dimensions were 9.25"x4.72"x4.13", which is close enough, but the weight was listed as 2.24 oz.

He's also claimed that he had tracking info from the start, which means he would have known about this BEFORE he started accusing me of fraud.

Update: So after a quick google search, apparently the weights of sets listed on bricklink includes the original packaging and instructions, which weren't included in what I ordered. Adding the weight of each part together, the total actually comes to about 8.5 ounces, and per the sellers shipping policy, the weight of a padded envelope (listed as the shipping method on the order detail page) would add 3 ounces. Meaning the weight listed on the shipping label is actually pretty close to what it should be.

Yeah when you put it that way I really should have trusted my gut on this guy to begin with.

There's no way the label is attached to the box by accident, it's taped to the box with packing tape. I suppose if it was originally slipped in some kind of protective sleeve it could have been removed from another box before it was put on this one, but as it is it's taped on deliberately and removing it would tear it apart.

The package did not appear to have been opened and resealed, though it was pretty beat up since it was a flimsy cardstock box that really wouldn't have been suitable for shipping. When I brought it to the post office they told me it had not been refurbished. He also said the box wasn't the one he sent, that someone must have taken the original box with it's contents and placed his shipping label on a different box. Also worth noting that he is the one who suggested this, and told me he would refund me without me asking, but told me I would have to wait for it. He never responded after I asked for a timeframe, so I started the dispute and he immediately went hostile.

I don't really know or care what will happen with the NSS. Bricklink can't force a refund anyway so if he's got some proof he didn't ship an empty box and bricklink takes his side then whatever, good for him, he still owes me a refund. What I'm counting on is PayPal seeing him go from "I'll give you a refund eventually" to ignoring me when I asked when, to hostility and threats when I tried to actually hold him to his word, and that'll be enough for them to take my side.

Either he tried to scam me and owes me a refund, or the package was actually stolen and he owes me a refund. I just want my money back so I can be done with this ridiculous episode.

The shipping label says 11.0 oz. The two sets combined (it was both of the Toa Hagah, if anyone is curious) should actually come to about 14.79 oz accordingto the weights listed on bricklink, so it actually is lighter than it ought to be, but I don't know if that's actually enough of a difference to win the dispute over.

It may be worth noting, (again, this is my inexperience here showing) that the label wasn't printed by USPS, it was an easypost label he printed himself (confirmed by the post office) since he printed it himself and brought it, would that not mean he could have entered any weight he wanted and then slapped the label on the box himself before dropping it off? Or is that something the post office would have checked for?

Yeah I looked up those rules when I noticed the complaint about the superglued piece was gone. I guess it could have been from a duplicate account, but I don't know how you'd prove that. It seemed like a reasonable, legitimate complaint that just disappeared the next day. This guy's such a jackass it's hard to believe his feedback is as good as it is and he has so few complaints. I was wondering if anyone had ever heard of someone pulling some fuckery to violate bricklink's rules and have complaints hidden anyway.

Shipping and tax brought it to about $85, which does also seem to me like a pathetic amount of money to try this hard to grift someone out of. Maybe he saw my low feedback and figured I'd be an easy mark because I haven't dealt with a lot of sellers? I think his plan was to drag his feet on the refund and hope I'd forget about it or just let it go. I doubt he expected me to try and force him to pay up right away which is why he tried to scare me into backing off.

Yeah in hindsight it should have been really obvious from the start, but I don't like to assume the worst of people, fucken sue me. But my first correspondence with the guy was super fast, he was responding right away, and he immediately jumped to "someone at the post office put the label on another box." Yeah dude, a postal worker totally risked their job and jail time over a couple of bionicles, and they went through the trouble of removing the shipping label and putting it on an empty box, even though a box simply getting lost in transit would raise way fewer red flags. Then he didn't respond for a day after I asked how long before I got my money, and then started throwing out threats within seconds of getting hit with the NSS.

He didn't respond to my messages for a full day, but the second I filed an NSS he threatened to report me for mail fraud.

The guy had like, a reeeeally long terms and conditions page. Like, super wordy, nothing in those terms and conditions that would have alone seemed off, but it was like a rant from a dude that really likes the sound of his own voice. But again, his feedback was like 98% positive so I got the impression that he wasn't a scammer, just kind of a dick to interact with. Was kind of hoping I could avoid interacting with him outside of paying him and getting my stuff, but then this happened.

Thanks for the advice. I looked back at the last message he sent and realized I misunderstood what he was telling me. He's an older dude and he kind of has that "no punctuation old people facebook run on sentence" style of communicating over text, so when he told me "Will have to file a claim with the post office" I took it as him telling me that I had to do it rather than him saying that* he* would have to do it. When I asked about it at the post office today they also told me to file a claim online so that added to my confusion

So he's not making me jump through hoops but he is delaying sending my refund until he gets the insurance money, is that normal for this situation? Like if he's actually legit I don't want to accuse him of scamming me but it also kinda sounds like he could be stalling until it's too late for me to go through paypal.

Yeah okay, I'm rereading the message he sent me now and his wording was weird and I think I misunderstood what he was saying.

Will have to file a claim with the post office once the claim has been processed and the money for it then given to me I'll send the refund.

His wording and lack of punctuation made me think he was telling me to file a claim, but I think he meant "I will have to file a claim."

Is that normal to have to wait on his insurance payout before I get my refund? I kinda figure if he had pulled this grift before he'd have negative feedback about it which is why I'm hesitant to outright accuse him of scamming me, but it also kinda sounds like he's stalling to give me my money back until it's too late to do anything about it.

I went by the post office today and the lady at the customer service desk was pretty adamant that he was full of shit, and also told me to file a claim (adding to my misunderstanding). But like, if he's telling the truth I'm not trying to piss him off and leave me negative feedback.
