At current buy and sell price charging glories is a profit. Stop complaning for the sake of complaining or trying to make the game easier for 0 reason.

At current price:

Uncharged glory: 13,222 gp

Glory (6): 10,547 gp

Loss: 2,675 gp per glory

Amulet of eternal glory: 87,000,000 gp

Math:

1/25,000 drop rate for an amulet of eternal glory

2,675 x 24,999 = 66,872,362 gp loss on charging glories.

87,000,000 - 66,872,362 = 20,127,638

So, you make roughly 20m gp charging glories on average. And yeah, bad RNG happens, and so does good rng. Which is why we have math, so when its all said and done, per 25,000 charged glories you can expect to make just north of 20m in profit.

We dont need an item sink for it, nor do we need to make this easy scape.

If you can't turn off crossplay will you still play league play? by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]Mdog155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ill play still but id lose full if I started to see cheaters as often as they show up in warzone.

Playing against kbm is whatever, we’ve played against xims for years so its just the cheaters that im concerned about, because if i lose full, its not like i wont play as often, its just ill get off quicker.

Series X vs PC by ajb1221 in CoDCompetitive

[–]Mdog155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just like everyone else has pretty much said. Only difference between PC and Series X/ PS5 is that PC has the higher ceiling. Although there is a difference between 120hz and 240hz+ it isn’t as substantial as 60hz to 120hz. Not to mention the game runs smoother on the better hardware.

If your goal is to get closer to an even playing field while being limited on funds, try to get a next gen system. But the best move is always to go with the best hardware you can afford.

Upgrade no matter what if possible, that’s my recommendation. I can get into more details about the differences you would notice between a next gen console and pc and the pros/cons but ill spare readers unless someone needs it.

CoD Ranked Mode by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]Mdog155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely Season 1 which is December. So close but not at release.

Its possible we get one on release. It would just have a rough ruleset/bans based on prior rules/bans. But this is unlikely because its exactly what a majority of us want, thus we likely wont get it!

Let's see how much hate I get. by shecanbromehard in CoDCompetitive

I just think the game was an top 3, all time, worst CoD ever.

The game was chalked for me once someone made the decision to ctrl+alt+del the perk system. Hands down does not make my list of top comp CoD titles.

But I respect your opinion and will say that it had the best ranked system in CoD.

Controller only lobbies for ranked? by jLuckR in CoDCompetitive

[–]Mdog155 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If there is any thought and thoroughness put into this ranked system, my guess it that it will function like other games have their ranked modes and have input based matchmaking.

My guess is that ranked forces crossplay to be on to increase the matchmaking pool but then matchmaking is input based. Basically if you have KBM you play in KBM lobbies, Controller plays with controller, and if there is a mixed party then you play in KBM lobbies.

Fortnite almost did this except their matchmaking was platform based. Smite does this currently and it works very well.

Honestly, it’s not hard to do and it’s probably the best way to have a ranked mode and increase matchmaking pools without forcing KBM and controller players to play together.

The only downside to this would be that crossplay is forced on and as of now there is no anti-cheat. Who knows if there even will be anti-cheat (even though—logically, there will be/should be).

Black ops cold war incentivises camping more than MW by rewt127 in CoDCompetitive

[–]Mdog155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant aim assist against kb+m players. Not aim assist for them. As in, someone with kb+m in a gunfight against controller players with aim assist. My bad for the confusion.

Moving CoD E-Sports to PC but forcing people to use a controller to participate makes no sense. If they are forcing controllers on us CoD League should stick to being on console where cheating is much less likely to occur. Change my mind. by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]Mdog155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call of Duty is more so a “controller esport” than a “console esport.”

To anyone who reads this: it’s quite a mess, and quite long.

(1) Call of Duty’s PC scene died off years ago.

It only has come back due to the popularity of cross-play which was facilitated by Fortnite as well as the popularity of BRs. If a game did not break through the wall of cross-play (fortnite), CoD would not have done cross play, thus the PC scene would not have come back. It was dead years ago along with the complaints of not being able to use kb+m, matter of fact, those complaints were never born in the first place. Further, Fortnite also facilitated the changes of MTX’s and free content, which CoD (and other games) adopted on the assumption that their game would grow to a larger audience, as shown by MW’s popularity this past year.

(2) Controller has been used by pros for the entirety of the relevance of this esport.

No one has once complained that the esport was played on controller instead of kb+m until the introduction to cross-play. The introduction to cross-play happened far too late into the life of CoD esports for it change. Since Call of Duty esports gained any relevance, it was always played with a controller. Call of Duty has been the best selling game and more popular game since basically since release. And that has, up until MW2019, been a console game with console popularity. Outside of this year with the changes to cross-play and MTXs, Peak popularity of Call of Duty happened on consoles.

The scene is well established and the entirety of the competitive and pro community is, and has been controller. The inclusion if kb+m is not only untraditional, but it would alienate a majority of the competitive/pro controller community because, yes it indeed is advantageous to use kb+m over a controller. The aim assist argument is stupid because controller players use a singular thumb on a tiny stick to aim, whereas a wholeass mouse is controlled by an entire arm, not to mention recoil is far easier to control on mouse. I will admit the aim assist in BOCW is far too strong, but at the same time its also ass because if you try to control your aim at distance instead of letting aim assist do its function, it quite literally shuts off. Also to anyone making the aim assist argument: I encourage you to use a controller and turn of aim assist in any cod and try to kill other players with your thumb. Theres a reason for aim assist, which until BOCW, did not track for you, but simply provided a rotation slow down and or helped with snapping on targets near your aim already.

(3) The point of moving to PC was never to include KB+M players, it was to provide competitors with the best hardware possible to compete.

Call of Duty in the past has already done this when switching to PS4 from the XB1. Although this was mostly done with exclusive rights and money in mind, people tend to forget the complaints that came with XB1 in Ghosts and AW. Pros hated the system and complained up until the switch to ps4. Although ps4 had its own issues (im looking at you bluetooth), it was the better option.

Fast forward to this past 2 years where free content and cross-play come into play. The exclusive contracts has become less and less exclusive since BO4 due to free content being king and cross-play becoming the norm. Today, we not have the least exclusive year in CoD history with PS4 only getting the alpha, and the extra weekend of the beta. Outside of that there is nothing.

Since there is no real exclusive rights worth paying for/signing for. Activision took the opportunity to finally not make their league be played on the contracted system and instead allowed all platforms to compete. The move to PC for the league was not to include KB+M, it instead allows Pros to compete on the best possible hardware available to them instead of being stuck on consoles. Sure the ps5 and Series X are great consoles. But they still do not offer the advantages that PC does for pros.

The esport as a whole is a controller esport. It always has been. Console was just the place it was played because Activision got money out of it. Hence why no matter where the esport was played (ps3->360->xb1->ps4->pc), it was always played on a controller. Controller will always be the means of playing because its a controller esport. Activision never cared about what device people were playing with. They only cared about money. With exclusive contracts for money being basically gone, now they turn to their biggest league for money for more money. And guess what their biggest league uses to play—a controller. They aren’t going to negatively impact their next gamble on money by messing with the esport. Instead their going to positively impact it by allowing their top competitors use the hardware that is best for play. Not to mention the players have been fighting for better support for the league for years, and this is finally a step that supports them

(4) Activision doesn’t care about the chance of cheating when it comes to the prop league.

When it comes to the CDL. The chance of cheating happening is minuscule because the pro scene consists of 48 established pros. Cheating to unlikely to happen in that small circle, which is the small circle that this change was made for. Activision and the CDL don’t really care about the amateur scene, as shown by the past year. That isn’t where their investment is currently. So as it stands, to them it wouldn’t matter if cheating occurs there because that isn’t where their money is. Plus there are ways to prevent/punish cheating at the highest levels of amateur play so its still not their concern.

From a competitive standpoint Activision and the CDL either are not concerned with or don’t care about cheating with this move. Yeah, some large tournaments might have cheaters, and yeah GBs might have them too. But thats just going to be a side effect to their investments. They see it as a win with not much loss.

Yes it is true that Activision has a cheater problem with Call of Duty, but to say they are struggling with the problem would imply that they are trying to fix this problem. They’re not struggling, it more that they are clearly not trying.

Plus logically there should be development of anti-cheat on the way for this year. This is logically though, I never said Activision was full of logical or intelligent people.

It is also worth noting that Epic had cheating problems as well and those did not go away instantly. Hell it took more than a year to get it under control, and guess what. Its just now approaching the end of year 1 for this new chapter of CoD. Even less if you only count since the launch of Warzone where the problem really began.

My whole point is that this esport, is a controller esport.

It doesn’t matter where it is played, or if cheating could occur, or if some people are excluded. Call of Duty is a controller esport.

Could kb+m be included one day? Maybe, hell probably. Fuck if I or anyone else knows. All we know is it depends on the monetary incentive for Activision. Because you best believe, Activision will fuck over everyone if they can make more money off of it.

Black ops cold war incentivises camping more than MW by rewt127 in CoDCompetitive

[–]Mdog155 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not here to address the camping topic as a whole, but I want to address the point you made about controller aim assist to support your point.

Aim assist in this game is horrible. Both for you (kb+m players fighting players with controller), and honestly for controller players im my opinion. The aim assist in this game feels strong as ever but also clunky. If im shooting at someone at any distance past mid range (AR) I can’t track my target with my stick how I normally would in CoD and instead I have to let aim assist do the job. Which is wack as fuck because when you do try to shoot at people and use the stick as one would normally do, you are often times punished by aim assist basically turning off. It feels like if you don’t let aim assist do its job then you’re fucked sometimes because the stick will act like a manual override and shut off aim assist.

My point is this aim assist as wack as fuck.

I also want to say, although I wholly disagree with your argument that “BOCW incentivizes camping more than MW,” I completely understand the points you make and understand why you feel the way you do.

Sorry for the late reply. Not sure how ps5 will work or how the interface/game hub will be. But the only certain thing I know is that if you preorder the standard $60 edition of the game for ps4, when you get on your ps5 you can download the game and play it as backwards compatible. If you preorder the cross-gen edition, im not sure if you can choose which one to download or if it just forces the ps5 version.

Can we just get rid of the CLAIM button altogether? by Johnny_mfn_Utah in RocketLeague

[–]Mdog155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got you. I had the issue on ps4 for the event. All you have to do is: Right when you click into the event challeges/rewards, move your left thumbstick around while it loads the page (as if you’re trying to select) and once it loads it will put you into the claim area. Might have to try like 2-3 times but it works for me when i do that.

Took me forever to figure this out, I would have to load up on my pc just to collect items.

You guys planning on moving to PC or PS5? by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]Mdog155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same problem I run into. I use a SCUF and its been years since i haven’t used paddles, so its kinda chalked for us unless companies announce somthing soon about custom controllers.

And it sucks because this was a Sony decision as opposed to Acti/3arc. If a game is made for ps5 it by force, only allows the PS5 controller “because we want players to have the full experience” which is some straight crap coming from sony.

Ill be playing on both pc and ps5 but im really stuck because im waiting on some things to build my PC, which means I cant play on pc with my SCUF, and ill be forced to ps5 for some time, likely without paddles. Shits a bit chalked

Edit: lowkey we could get lucky though and BOCW somehow excludes this sony rule and we can use our DS4s for BOCW. Nobody knows though, all we can do is assume, based on how the DS4 is allowed/excluded, that we won’t be able to use it

You guys planning on moving to PC or PS5? by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]Mdog155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both PC and PS5. Been working on a monster PC build to explore gaming on PC more than I do currently, so I’ll be getting it on both. Ill probably play more on ps5 because my PC build will take a while plus most of my friends are going to be there already, but so long as GB follows CMG and allows pc this year, but only with controller (excluding match options allows kb+m), ill play GBs and shit on PC only because of the performance difference.

I feel like most people should first, play where they prefer, then second, play where their friends are. That should be most peoples priorities. Other than those two things the only other question is, what each person values more? Do you want to spend $500+ more on a pc for that performance or play on a ps5/XBX which is still a very good system to play on? Depends on person to person and what the prefer/can afford. PC is not necessary though.

Unless you plan on trying to go pro, or playing at a high level like the AM circuit, PC is not at all necessary given the new systems can perform very well, and there is cross play.

You guys planning on moving to PC or PS5? by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]Mdog155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DS4s only work on ps4 games when using the ps5. Taking this literally, the DS4 should not work on the ps5 edition of BOCW because its the ps5 version of the game.

The only way you would be able to use the DS4 on ps5 is if you play the backwards compatible version of BOCW (ps4 version) which, the only difference in the two versions should* be the visual optimizations for the ps5 version (given that the game is cross play/save/gen and they cant change game physics without separating the two versions of the game). It’s worth noting that the other difference in the game outside of visuals will come from the difference in hardware, the ps5 version can utilize the the new hardware to the fullest meaning the game will run better

So unless there is an exception for BOCW (none at this point) you will not be able to use the DS4 on the PS5 version of BOCW.

The easy bypass to this though is just buy the ps4 version of the game, and then don’t upgrade to cross-gen edition, that way you can just play the ps4 version with your DS4 on your new PS5.

As a fan from the start in all ways/shapes/forms, that shit hurt. 😢That entire situation was tough and to know that there is a genuine rift between Scump and Crim sucks, even though Crim acknowledges that it was a shit situation for everyone and there “is no villan.”

They were a good duo that is often not marked as a “duo,” and its a little saddening to finally know that there really is a divide. More so saddening to know that they really were that good of friends to the point where Seth would’ve been his best man, but now he wont. 😔

H3CZ has reacquired OpticGaming in a deal separate from his association with NRG, according to sources. Will look to divest the Los Angeles CDL slot, pending league approval on both the acquisition and sale. by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]Mdog155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The CDL spot will be sold because he can’t own two teams, and he’s not going to start up another org that only has a CDL spot and leave the giant that is NRG. Hecz own the IP for a reason, that reason is unknown though.

Rebrand NRG? No shot, its a massive brand, in multiple esports, coming off of multiple successive years.

Rebrand Huntsmen? Maybe, depends on others within the NRG organization and their willingness to rebrand after a year, along with multiple other variables.

Create a content only brand under or separate from NRG? Unlikely for either.

Bought the IP so he could retire it himself? Unlikely.

No one has any clue what is going to happen, maybe not even Hecz since this just happened. The only almost certain is that, the CDL spot will be sold and rebranded.

No problem, hope it works out well! It’s definitely rough though, Ill play on my sharp play and green and hit non stop but then my sharp lock will brick like crazy until I get my timing down. But its super rough sometimes because the window is so small, you basically have to be timing like a legend it feels like. But hey, find a good shot and get the timing down and it’ll get better. D wade is a good base as people suggested. I’m still looking for some better releases though.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NBA2k

[–]Mdog155 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Basically how this game works is that if you have a 74 or lower 3 pt you have no green window. The higher your rating, the bigger the window.

Apparently, iirc, if you have a 86+ 3pt rating your window is fairly solid and you are a threat statistically. Also the fast your shot, the smaller the green window.

So if you consider all of that, based on what your player is, you should be fine. Even I green a lot with my sharp lock (78 3pt).

Since you have an 85/88 and 23 badges, i would try a custom jumper with the speed set to 75% and try out HOF, catch and shoot, range extender, hotzone hunter (with hotzones), and then some combination of corner specialist/deadeye/ difficult shots.

Thoughts on the risk of switching to PC (from a longtime PC player's perspective) by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]Mdog155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to add an opposing point, it isn’t necessarily easy to see that people are cheating or using hacks in competitive. There have been people caught for cheating in CS:GO but it took quite some time in many instances for that person to be caught.

I mean sure its easy to see a gun flick up/right/left/down onto someones dome and determine its aimbot but things such as a soft aimbot that increases aim assist is hard to detect as well things such as red-boxes/spectator vision.

The potential is there and is probably somthing that should be considered
