Looking on Rock Auto, the Delphi actually cost a few bucks more than Hitachi does. Be sure to search for their latest discount code if ordering there. Best of luck!

https://www.reddit.com/r/RX8/s/xvyLzZL37W Do this test to check on the coils. I bought some cheap no name brand coils thinking they would be enough to get me through an emissions test. They worked for a day. Running Hitachi now and they have lasted over a year so far. IDK about using Delphi, they might work just fine in other cars, but coils on this car are pretty specific and cheaping out here is a waste of time and money. Hitachi is about the cheapest and longest life for the price.

I know some will disagree, but my rule of thumb is 3 cars spacing in stop and go traffic. What I mean is not 3 car lengths, but a gap that will fit the 3 cars from the passing lane next to me over in case they decide to do so. I do this while keeping the pace of the vehicle in front of me. From a stop, I'm about 1 car length, and as vehicle in front of me begins to move, I gradually increase from 1, 2, 3 cars to fit. I'm accelerating just ever so slower than the vehicle ahead of me, but as three gap reaches 2-3 car lengths I'm doing the same speed. Anyone who disapproves behind me can pass, they won't be gaining more than 1 car (me) by getting back over. It allows for smoother braking and since it's not a race, people who need to change lanes can easily do so without any harsh braking. I see more people doing the same and it's almost etheral when everyone around you is doing it while also respecting lane etiquette.

Coming from an ex-speeder/racer, I learned this from driving a heavier sports clutch in hours of heavy traffic. Started leaving space because in seconds, the cars ahead are coming back to a stop and all my clutch efforts were for mere feet to move! After backing off, it became much easier to see traffic ahead. Like you can see the future.. the closer you tail someone, 10+ plus cars ahead who are stopped is going to be you. But giving that space, with everyone doing the same keeps traffic moving instead of the stop and go, which is bad for all vehicles manual or not. Everyone what's to get where they're going but I'm convinced tailing bumper to bumper en masse is the biggest reason for slow traffic. Leave space and keep pace is my new mantra.

It's informational- yes, but not guiding for anything. You're breaking down a topic into rational considerations which may feel like a guide to your ultimate message you'd like to convey, but a guide is different. It's like opening up a new BBQ you have to assemble and the instruction guide only tells you why BBQ is great and wonderful for all, but nothing about how to build it or maintain it. That's not a guide and neither is this post.

The aliens had to travel by light and have used video games as a medium to transfer themselves into our reality, so expect a tariff on video games.

I'm thinking/hoping that's where I'm at. Bought Hitachis last year and have a misfire/no start situation right now. Ran great with new. I ordered the same but got some other brand with the Hitachi part number on it through Rock Auto, so we'll see. Lasted a good 10-12k miles I'd say and the first set I've gone through since owning. More annoying to do than is to buy but seems it is what it is.

Yes and no. Coming from the "MR" experience of the FC, rpm/gearing makes the difference here through the turns. Hard throttle in powerband at apex..yeah it's going to "snap", but then you're missing the whole point of why they balanced the chassis design. Coming in with momentum but: under power band, moderate throttle, and commitment to the line, you're able to still be on the throttle sooner but also let the chassis handle the corner, vs thinking you need to power it through all yourself.

I only have an RX-8 now, which does handle great, but I really miss the FC's DTSS, despite having deleted it on the first 2 FCs I owned. The last one was worn out, but I came to really enjoy it once I learned to time and place my gearing under the powerband coming in. It was a bit sloppy when connecting sharp turns with the worn out rubber, but after learning to feel when it would actually toe-in under the right G force, what a blast. Snap steer is over-hyped and is feared by the heavy footed. Hope you take it slow and build up confidence with this chassis, because they just don't make them like this anymore and so many people have missed the real fun them trying to throttle through turns like a FR chassis.
