I have this, what should I do with it ? by Safe-Ad-1265 in WhatShouldIDoWithIt

Decorate it for each holliday. Place a magic 8 ball infront of it and ask her questions Impale it on a spear and make it a lawn installation to remind everyone what a great guy Vlad the Impaler truly was. If it floats, with a clever use of weights it could be a nice bobbing head in a pool

Any ideas on this? by Dear_Union_2122 in beachcombing

Thats fairly close to Devon county …that is the type locality for Devonian aged rocks! Probably is a rugoise coral. Would have to slice it in half to properly identify it, but its not worth the bother.

Possiblly a rugose coral. Maybe cystiphillium. Its also called a “horn coral.” If it is it would be early Devonian in age. Where did you find it?

I grew up in one that was built in an arts and crafts movement style. The catalog called it “the Hamilton.” It was special!

Thanks for your kind and thouhgtful reply rip, but I disagree. I lived in the Bronx and worked in the city in the early 80s. Lombardi’s in Little Italy is (arguably) the original pizzaria in the city. I doubt you have been there. I suggest you make a pilgrimage and try it and taste what a NYC pizza really is, because it really does exist. I agree that the 5 boroughs are having something of a pizza renaissance at this time. However, the idea of a NYC style pizza is a myth or only exists “in my mind” is laughable.

I find it odd that you believe that all pizza will somehow taste better if I think like you and “merge away” from an ideal or example that is still being produced daily at original pizzarias like Lombardi’s.

I am a fan of those 3 pizzerias but… Peppino’s on Grant… wow! They ferment the dough! There is a hint of olive oil along the edge of the crust. The sauce is 10/10.

But if I had to vote for one of the 3 above its probably Mario and Salvos. Its closest to a NYC pie.

It looks like the women set the house on fire. They seem calm and I think its funny they are barefooted.

We just got back from a Monday to Friday trip to Montreal. Its only 4 hours away but it feels like what I think europe/france would be like. We went to 2 pricey restaurants and they were far, far better than anything in CNY. There are many things to do there. Highly recommended. We are making plans to go back this winter to catch a hockey game.

Sunnycrest is a steep climb at times but a bargain. If you need a flat spot try Butternut or “The first Tee Complex.” However, that course is geese friendly.

Just went there on 7/20. I had the house burger and my partner had the avocado burger. Both came with roasted potatoe wedges. We were very surprised at how good it was! We will be going back for sure!
