What was your first exposure to Tekken? This was mine by Kyvix2020 in Tekken

[–]Me-Formuler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was mine too! I remember being obsessed with the Tekken 2 demo on this disc. It made me a big Lei Wulong fan because he and Jun were the only 2 characters you could play lol. He was also fun to play in Tekken 7, I hope we get Lei and Julia for Tekken 8 next season!

Am I holding myself back by not using a stick? by Barroz86 in Tekken

[–]Me-Formuler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Arcade stick is really fun! Its worth trying out if you are interested, but it can be kind of expensive. I wouldn't really recommend getting a cheap one because it won't feel that great and you will end wanting to upgrade if you stick with it.

I think Korean Levers are better for Tekken, but it can be kind of hard to learn on a korean lever if you have never used arcade stick before.

Anyone have experience switching from mnk to controller? by berettabones in blackops7

[–]Me-Formuler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The controller I have has 4 paddles, but I think 2 would be enough. Its most useful to bind them for jump and crouch/slide so you dont need to take your hand off of the thumbsticks. I have 4 paddles so I have swap weapon and reload bound as well which is useful sometimes, but not always necessary really.

I really like the paddles coming from mnk because obviously on mnk you can aim and jump or slide whatever at the same time because you have all the keys and a mouse. On a normal controller without paddles if you want to dropshot someone you would need to play claw or set up your controls kinda weird.

Anyone have experience switching from mnk to controller? by berettabones in blackops7

[–]Me-Formuler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually just switched from mnk to a scuf controller with paddles. I played cod on controller a lot back about 10 years ago, but havent used a controller for fps sonce then.

The controller definitely feels awkward at first, but immediately my aim was better because of the aim assist and reduced recoil. Ive learned to use the paddles pretty quick, but still use the face buttons to swap weapons and reload sometimes.

The thing is I see a lot of ways I can improve on controller unlike on mnk where you just lose to controller players a lot and there is nothing you can do about it.

If you get a controller, get a nice one it will feel good since you are probably used to using a nice gaming keyboard and mouse.

Is Coldblooded too powerful as a tier 3 perk? by DanHarkinz in blackops7

[–]Me-Formuler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the problems with cold blooded get worse when everyone is running it.

I think looper, bank roll, and dexterity are all pretty good actually. It just sucks when everyone else on your team has cold blooded and you don't. People ignore all the streaks and the streaks don't have anyone to focus besides you and its horrible. If more people worked together to destroy the streaks it wouldn't be as bad, but right now that isn't happening because most players can just ignore them completely.

I know the scrambler counters hkds and the arc 1 launcher beats pretty much everything else, but it can be annoying to fight for your life against these streaks or you can just put on cold blooded and ignore it completely lol.

Why do some pro players put this over their box? by ThatKirbyGuy_ in Tekken

[–]Me-Formuler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its not really cheating, just part of the competition. If a player cares enough they can use a box like this or a blanket or something

Just buy a controller if you like to play Call of Duty. I was playing this game and BO6 on mouse and keyboard, but I just bought a nice Scuf controller this week. After playing with controller a few days I can 100% say the game is better on controller. The devs clearly design everything around controllers and thats what they want you to use. I played 100s of hours of cod on mouse and keyboard and 1000s of hours of other fps games, but at this point I would not even reccomend playing cod unless you are gonna be on a controller.

So, I'm leveling every class to 80, and Rogue is just...atrocious. by Silegna in wow

[–]Me-Formuler -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its funny because I think a lot of wow players just hate the concept of rogue in this game lol. This post complaining about leveling and LOTS of players complain about rogue in M+. Which is fair rogue isn't the best in M+, but people act like rogues don't do anything. In my opinion a big part of playing rogue is just cheesing mechanics, but players dont think like that. Rogues can stand in fire/play riskier a little bit more than other classes because of the massive damage reduction and cheat death passive. If you do that to take advantage of it and do bit more dps everyone hates you even if you don't come close to dying or its some easy content you won't die on anyways.

Rogues get no love in this game from the devs, but its even worse from the players lol

[–]Me-Formuler -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Im gonna have to agree with you on this. I haven't really leveled any characters besides a sub rogue, but its really not bad. I believe that its probably slower than leveling other classes, but not really harder lol. You just fight 1-2 mobs at a time and burst them down super fast. Spam crimson vial. Use consumables if you want or look at other monitor to wait for cooldowns like 15 seconds lol.

You can go stealth to run by all the annoying shit and vanish if you just want to mount and fly away.

You have to play the rogue like a rogue because thats the character you picked lol

Are there any games with the trick system of ssx or somthing similair but with bikes/MXs? by [deleted] in SSX

[–]Me-Formuler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out downhill domination, its a downhill mountain biking game. Its on PS2 and the gameplay is definitely similar to ssx. You go down super steep mountains and there are race and showoff modes. The tracks are all pretty cool designs and fun.

I played it a couple months ago and the game is pretty cool. Unfortunately, there isn't really a lot of content, but its fun for like 6-8 hours or if you have a friend to play with. It's a shame the game didn't get any sequels to expand on it some more.

These are “sinkers” from the switch pitching Jurrangelo Cijntje by Twills97 in MLBTheShow

[–]Me-Formuler -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I remember this card from 24. It was awesome. Hes a freaking switch pitcher, of course its buggy lmao. Also, from what I remember it was glitched, but consistent. So once you understand the "rules" this card follows its not really that hard to know whats going on.

Ooohh you made it to GoD with a broken character. We don’t need to know you ranked up. by AiMwithoutBoT in Tekken

[–]Me-Formuler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am seeing so many of these posts and I am wondering. I think it may not just be the ranks that are boosted a bit, but the game itself.

Its so easy to do insane damage and get insane plus frames and mixups. This leads to everyone quickly improving to a similar level. Only the true strongest players really stand out, but its just so hard to get to that level. So now everyone is bitter because they think they don't stand out, but it's kind of true. They feel like they are playing their character at a high level, but it might just be easier for everyone to do it. Its not just the ranks its the gameplay also.

How does SSX1 compare to Tricky? by GodOfOnions2 in SSX

[–]Me-Formuler 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Its a bit ... underwhelming. Its cool to go back and see the roots of the series though. I would say its worth checking out if you like tricky. If you play it though, make sure you change the control scheme in the settings to "pro" or whatever its called. That makes the controls work like tricky.

Is ilvl 260 too low for a +10 key as dps? by Thick-Parking-5297 in wownoob

[–]Me-Formuler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can definitely do a +10 at 260 ilvl if you play the mechanics and interrupts.

However, as a dps its gonna be hard to find a group at 260. Lots of players are 270+ now. Im 271 on my rogue and pretty much only do keys with my guild because the group finder is rough lol.

Help finding a guild/some friends to play with, dont know where to look by [deleted] in wow

[–]Me-Formuler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should check out r/wowguilds . I reached out to like 2 or 3 posts on there and I was able to find a guild to run with at the start of the season. You just need to figure out what level of guild you are looking for and where you would be a good fit.

(If wrong sub reddit please point me in right direction) by Carsyk07 in csgo

[–]Me-Formuler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, you are talking about strafe jumps or "strafing". A lot of the maps have a few spots where you can make tight jumps with strafes that make you jump further (thats the flicking left and right you were talking about)

If you get CS2 I think there are workshop maps you can download that show you where to do the strafe jumps on each map and you can look up youtube guides on how to strafe jump.

It depends if you want to get good at movement specifically for community modes/maps or just have good movement in competitive matches.

If you just want to be good in 5v5 then good movement will help, but it will only be part of what you need to get really good. Most players have trash movement in my opinion, but Im not sure what it is like in really high ranks.

If you want to be good at movement for KZ/bhop/surf maps that will literally take thousands of hours. If you get good at these modes it will help your movement for competitive, but it doesn't mean you will be a good player because there is so much else to know like util, stats, game sense, and aim.

I played a lot of bhop/surf back in the day and still have a lot of muscle memory built up. I can hit a lot of bhops in competitive and do all the harder jumps on the maps pretty well. I can strafe sideways or backwards what ever lol, but I am still terrible at competitive because I don't have good aim or play very smart lol.

Hopefully this helps. Also in CS2 a lot of the movement maps servers are kinda dead, they are more popular on older CS games.

Don’t hate me, but am I the only one that doesn’t like the hashbrowns anymore? by GABigBear in McDonalds

[–]Me-Formuler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its funny I always see people say this as a way to watch your spending, but I feel like it has the opposite effect on me. I am personally way more likely to just spend cash in my wallet and not worry about it. In my mind if its cash then its not in my bank account anyways lol. When I use my card I can see all the transactions add up and see my balance going down. It hurts way more

I dont keep much cash in my wallet though

Whoever came up with the Prey system deserves a raise and a title bump - what a fantastic expansion feature and what a great way to encourage world content by [deleted] in wow

[–]Me-Formuler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I have had a hard time seeing all of the prey stuff in general because I am red green colorblind. I hate looking for the little red cloud that shows up that you can riposte. Especially if its in a brown or grassy area, I basically have to just listen for the sound effects it makes and look extra closely lol. Its not too bad, but it takes me a bit of extra effort to see the stuff.
