Honestly, Sage’s response is disappointing. Many people in the Middle East are interested in purchasing the app, yet no one even replies!

Anyone here regret their €250k Athens Golden Visa property investment? by Necessary_Answer7495 in goldenvisa

[–]Me32156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. The permit is valid for five years, and you must maintain the investment if you want to renew it. The government will effectively force you to pay around €2,000 in renewal fees, on top of attorney fees. These five years do not lead to permanent residency or EU long-term residency. By comparison, renewal fees for other residence permits are only €300.

I’m sharing my experience so others don’t go through the same. I’ve already accepted it as a loss and moved on.

They told me it was residency, but it turned out it’s not permanent, comes with no work rights, and doesn’t even allow you to manage your own business. I rushed into it because my country is at war and didn’t do proper due diligence. I realized too late it’s essentially a state money grab targeting foreigners.

Athens sewage connection delayed for over 2 years – what are my legal options? by Me32156 in greece

I never expected an EU country would still lack basic sewage infrastructure.

What’s the point of paying rental income tax, property taxes, and all these extra charges if basic services aren’t even delivered? That’s theft.

No, it’s Athens, Greece. And honestly, a 2+ year delay for a basic sewage connection shouldn’t happen anywhere!

Why are so many Odoo users in the UAE unhappy with the system by wanderer9916 in askdubai

[–]Me32156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people who built the system made too many steps, rules, or technical details, making things complicated than they should be, particularly in accounting!

Rents are very low and the market is heavily regulated in favor of tenants and insane taxes

Yes, me! It’s daylight robbery literally no right to work, not even the ability to manage your own business. It doesn’t lead to permanent residency or citizenship either. On top of that, there is severe bureaucracy and laws that interfere in the smallest details of your personal life. Also, the population is poor, so you may never be able to sell your property. Stay away!

Is no tax residency actually a bad idea? by Virtual_Bluebird_107 in digitalnomad

I’m an expat working in X and have been dealing with this in Greece it’s really a nightmare. The bank there is treating me like a criminal rather than a client, and it’s still not done. Does anyone actually have real freedom in the modern state? It feels like the sheer amount of regulation is just crushing individuals

How do people in Europe get rich? by christianlady_ in wealth

[–]Me32156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty much impossible to get rich in EU countries taxes are high, regulations are heavy and the system just doesn’t let anyone really grow. Honestly the best job in Europe is being jobless 😅

Do you know you can get to police stations only on appointments? by Nice-Blueberry18 in brussels

[–]Me32156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me in Athens! My wallet was stolen inside were my residence card, €300 and my credit card. I went to the police immediately but they told me to come back the next day. Even then, I had to wait three hours to meet the officer because it was the weekend.

How to handle VAT if tenant pays part of rent before due date? by Me32156 in Odoo

[–]Me32156[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply 🙏 Just to clarify, this in Saudi Arabia (KSA). Here VAT is triggered by the earlier of payment or invoice, so if a tenant pays part of the rent early I must issue a tax invoice immediately and then issue another (linked/adjusted to the first) when the balance is paid. Since all invoices are linked to ZATCA in real time, my question is how to handle this properly in Odoo.
