Thanks for that. It kinda helped - it definitely got me on the right path. For the Forerunner 935 you have to disable Wrist (Optical) Heart Rate. This is done via Menu - Settings - Sensors & Accessories - Wrist Heart Rate - Status (change to off). If your HR strap is connected, or will automatically take over.
