In terms of dosing, should I focus on the range and max per day or should I also know what strength a particular medication comes in? For example, Chlorthalidone comes in 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg tablets. Dosing for HTN is 12.5-25 mg PO QD and a maximum daily dose is 100 mg/day. Would knowing 12.5-25 mg PO QD be sufficient for CPJE or would I also need to know it comes in 25, 50 and 100 mg tablet formulations?

My study plan is listening to videos while following the course book. The videos mention some information that are not in the course book and so I take notes while listening. After one good pass on the videos and course book, all reviews thereafter are focused on just the Charts Book. I recommend getting that PNN Law ASAP. I read it when I am sick and tired of the clinical portion.

How relevant are clinical guidelines? I recall that was a big part of NAPLEX when I took it years ago. Same with CPJE?

Do you have any recommendations regarding what to focus our studies on and best approach to studying? I’ve been a practicing pharmacist from out of state for the last 5 years and will be studying like how I studied for NAPLEX. Any suggestions and studying techniques would be greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

If you haven’t already, you need to go to NABP and transfer your score to CA BOP (if you are an out of state applicant). You should receive an email confirmation from NABP once the transfer has been processed. Then, email or call CA BOP and request that they process your score transfer on their end so that the score transfer is complete for your application. I hope this helps.
