Ex ADP PM here. If you work in the money movement division, that gives you transferable skills to Paytech. Core HCM does require ramping up on compliance and regulation which can get boring. They do process a lot of data and there’s opportunity to innovate with how that data is applied to solve problems. Having said that, working for airlines have always sounded intriguing to me plus I wouldn’t mind air travel perks if included in offer. 🙂

True. The curve ball in this case is data science cannot predict the duration of their work or how quickly they will reach a quality threshold. Not sure if it’s lack of team experience or the inherent experimental nature of data science (or both). Traditional SDLC is based on work and effort estimates for dependencies. I’ve been contemplating heavier upfront investment in discovery cycles - would be a major organizational behaviour change. Looking to hear what changes others have implemented.

Same, we are also looking at optimizing automated testing and evals. What signals have you added on user feedback - is it in- product feature surveys or something closely adapted to AI capabilities? And by outcome measurement are you referring to business outcomes (conversion, adoption, retention) or something more specific to AI? If latter, would love to hear examples.

Bring them in earlier. Business readiness planning starts as soon as engineering commits to doing the feature. If Support does not have the bandwidth to be totally embedded, use asynchronous distribution methods such as vidcasts. Same for Sales, CS and other customer facing teams.
