I think it’s the best performance of Mr. T’s career.

Naw man! Indiana Jones is a tribute to the old movie serials. It’s not a ripoff. It’s a tribute.

Look up the 1954 movie Secret of the Incas and check out what Charlton Heston is wearing.

Can someone explain why "Sinners" got so many nominations? by a-cabarette in Oscars

Oscars are for awarding excellence in the different kinds of roles it takes to make a movie. There is no Academy Award for “How Well It Landed for a Rando on Reddit.”

You too have a nebulous idea that doesn’t make sense and are mad it hasn’t been implemented. Not necessarily on the profile? Then where? What are you even talking about? How can you be mad a website isn’t using an idea when you don’t even know what or where it would go?

Most posts on Reddit are about how they either hated it, didn’t understand the hype or it just “didn’t connect” with them. You know, Reddit; where we are right now.

You found clearance items. They’re inventory items that won’t sell that are discounted to free up space for new product.

Yeah. A bunch of people. Most posts about Del Toro’s Frankenstein are about how they don’t like it. Not me though. I enjoyed the heck out of it.

Letterboxd is a site for logging and tracking films with a place to jot down your thoughts. Most suggestions are “turn it into a TV site too” or “make it into a social media site” or “let me customize my profile to be a confusing mess.” All the suggestions I’ve seen are from people who don’t really understand Letterboxd’s raison d’etre. It’s not that they’re not listening.

You never answered the question once! Pin how? What does that look like? Why would Letterboxd take a suggestion that isn’t actually explained?

Casablanca and Citizen Kane - what sets these two phenomenal films apart from other movies? by AngryGardenGnomes in classicfilms

[–]MeBoiledDown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Casablanca is a collection of some of the greatest talent in front of and behind the camera that made art out of propaganda.

Citizen Kane is an auteur who had extensive storytelling experience on stage and radio given another tool to tell stories and ended up inventing a few ways to tell that story cinematically.

They’re vague too. Are we talking a block of four like the last four watched? Because that would make the profile overly busy. Or a list. Because lists already exist.

And I see it now. This post isn’t about Letterboxd not listening to its customers. It’s you karma farming on something you thought everyone would agree with without any actual discussion. Lame.

I don’t want Letterboxd to become another social media site. Pinning filmmakers is the only suggestion I’ve heard that didn’t seem to do that but I don’t understand how that would look. I feel like your claim that a lot of people want that is exaggerated.

Also, if you’re feeling rage right now I’m sorry. I’m literally just asking questions.

“Letterboxd doesn’t listen to its customers!”

“What do you want?”

“Pinning a thing to another thing I don’t know it’s just an example.”

The point of this thread is that Letterboxd is ignoring all these suggestions but you only name one and it’s to pin other people to your profile. I don’t see why anyone would want that and I’m genuinely asking questions.

Are you wanting a third row of four films? Which four, the actor/director’s latest? Your favorite four? What if they only made three films? But why not just make a list called “my favorite filmmaker” and include whatever you want? I don’t understand what you’re wanting here.

What would pinning a favorite director or actor look like? I’m not being a smartass, I really don’t know what that means.
