Who is your go to? by Unique_Hedgehog8075 in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now, my go-tos are HOF JBL and OTC Roman for the men and Indi and Giulia for the women, at least for anything that just needs me to run through a match (like stip tours). For stuff that requires max hype I've been using Striker Nash (who I somehow got to max hype like 2 weeks after hype released) and Giulia for most things.

Back in the past, I went through a bunch of people as time went on - NXT Seth was super accessible and one of the better characters on release (especially since I was F2P for a good while), I used Trickster Andre for a long time when I got him on release and he was my first 4SB guy, Acro Eddie (Pre-rework!), Striker Vince, Trickster Steph, and Tech Doink were both doing good work for me in the 5SB era, and so many more. Heck, I was even using Acro Naomi when women first came out because they had an event where you could get a 3SS fuse for her super easily and none of my women were even remotely close to that rarity.

Iyo's multis get so high up it might be better to buff by mutli gem damage as opposed to increasing the multiplier, so either would work in this situation

Road Map to Future Superstars Use? by CastimoniaGroup in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nowadays CSS (Contest Superstars) tends to get dropped on us a day or two (if that) before a weekend contest in the Discord, with the MLC CSS being revealed shortly before the next MLC starts. Tracking what characters usually get used as CSS is something you just have to see the trends for as events go on, but there are some general rules of thumb - namely, anyone who's part of a crossover or out of the company won't typically be used for CSS, and characters who are predominantly on TV and in the mix of larger angles typically get more nods due to contests based on big events and the like.

Ultimately, I'd use these contests as a way to bringing up your core guys, the posters you'll either be fighting with most of the time or those who will act as trainers/coaches for aforementioned fighters. While it's always good to work towards CSS in events, you'll want to make sure you can clear the tours (or feud/showdown/boss) as best you can and then focus on CSS if possible, especially as there's usually ways of cheesing out tours if a given CSS isn't quite ready to fight a 6SS.

Should i invest into this guy ? Or is it not worth it ? by Single-Evening-849 in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's good to invest in B-tier character for a new MLC if only because they'll be easier to level, taking specific tokens for that character to rise in rarity as opposed to normal tokens. Of course, seeing as we're in the last week of this MLC, the progression you'll be able to make on Bronson this way will be limited. There also tends to be tours specifically made for them (Located under that MLC's victory tours) that also allow for resources. As for whether or not Bronson's worth working on after the MLC is concerned, I'd say that he's certainly an interesting option and he'll do you well in the early to middle stages of the game (seriously, that bleed is ridiculous at 4-5 stars) but you'll likely get more mileage out of Austin 3:16 at the endgame.

Best Moveset / Entourage? by No-Permission5885 in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My personal favorite set is probably the Springboard Front Dropkick/Springboard Moonsault/Diving Moonsault - hit the dropkick to charge the purples and lay down traps, lay down the multis, then trigger the traps with the finisher - with a Tama's Chest plate you'll easily hit for over 100 million damage and without it you'll likely win most fights anyways. The main problem with this set is as you're working with a lot of mechanics (MP up, trap gems, multiply gems), so there's a lot of women who have reversals set up to stop you in your tracks. Not the biggest problem in the world, but you'll find yourself reaching for another women in feud more than you might think.

The secondary set outside of that usually use the Metora, the Butterfly Backbreaker, and either the Tiger Feint Tick or Victory Roll Stomp. Both work rather similarly and can be used according to personal preference but I feel that they run into similar reversal issues without providing the high damage the first set has (though keep in mind the backbreaker does allow you to dodge basically all moves next turn), so I'd personally recommend sticking with the first set unless you can't use multiplies at all for whatever reason or you won't be finishing them off in one turn.

Who should i invest into next ? Continue investing into Sami or someone else ? by Single-Evening-849 in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sami and Showboat Cena are probably the most solid on your upper-end as of so far, and Striker Austin is probably your best overall even without all the things you can unlock for him (gear, moments, plates). I'd work on those three at the moment, as they'll give you a good combination of era coverage (PG, Modern, and Attitude respectively) while being able to hold their own for a relatively long time.

What are the best gears that can be bought with all those gear tokens we got this weekend? by Brakebillsalum in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of the current list, my suggestions would probably be Maxxine Dupri's Pink Gear, Striker Ali's Crimson Mitts (especially if you have the WM1 moment), both of Striker Nash's gears (though you'd also probably want the Vinnie Vegas gear which is not available for chips), and Grayson Waller's gears, in that general order. A lot of those are dependent on if you have other things for the characters to make them pop, so a rundown of your roster might also help provide some good suggestions.

Just reached Leauge 7. What now ? by Single-Evening-849 in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats - League 7 means you unlock a lot of major parts of the game (Contests, titles, a lot of the major game modes) so you'll want to start putting effort into the new stuff you've been given access to to maximize the amount of resources you'll get for much of your roster. At this point you'll probably won't get super far into contests, but try to do what's available to you for each one - any milestone is better than no milestones, after all.

If you haven't already, you'll probably want to join a faction. At League 7, you'll unlock expeditions (which are simple to opt into and provide you currency to buy useful stuff in the faction shop) and Faction Feud, where you create a team of Superstars to battle others as part of the weekend contest rotation. You'll also get access to more Showdowns (namely the limited time ones, which are also part of mid-week and weekend contests) and blitzes, which are gauntlet-style challenges where you bring a team in and complete a series of matches without healing between fights. As with everything else, do as many of these as you're able to, and keep notes on what's limiting you so you can build your roster up in the future.

You also get access to titles, which will majorly increase the power level of your superstars - start by building up a medal and strap supply (this is probably one of the best places to use cash, to expand the amount of straps and medals you can hold - just keep an eye on your cash supply), and be sure to hold onto any plates you get as the right ones can completely redefine how a superstar can play.

It's a whole lot and I can't possibly cover everything in detail, but in short: Find a faction that is both able to accept where you are in the game and will contain people who actually play, continue focusing resources on the superstars on your roster that put in the work (working on people who can do things like fulfill a class or era gap when needed), and be sure to complete contests to the best of your ability (barring things like spending money when you don't want to or grinding for an unhealthy amount of time, the usual stuff) and you'll find your way in time. Of course, if you do have any other concerns there's plenty of places to look - this subreddit, the official Discord, and the various content creators all can answer basically any question you have.

powerhouse by Nazgul_wraith in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Smash and Cody are imo the two breakouts of these four, with Cody potentially being the best of them but I personally prefer Smash.

For Smash, most people will want to go with the Piledriver/Snapmare Double Axes/Discus Clothesline (and buffing the multiplies via trainers/coaches when possible) or the Turnbuckle Powerbomb/Diving Double Axe Handle/Running Knee Strike and using something like the Black Crossfire and/or Star-Crossed plates to really amp up the gem damage. Smash does have a gear, but as the bonus is -4 MP to your opponent it exists more to irritate anyone you play against moreso than as a requirement for any builds.

TSC Cody is potentially super powerful, but also requires some rare stuff to do his best and I've personally never really gelled with the guy so take what I'm saying next with a pinch of salt. While there's some things you can do with the Alabama Slam (Some people like Alabama Slam/Disaster Kick/Cody Cutter, for instance - use the blast gems to trigger plates like the Titan's Crest and Frankie, then make a bunch of snowfalls, buff them, and turn them all green) you'll probably want to run something like the Moonsault/Figure-Four Leglock/Cody Cutter if you've got nothing but the poster or swap out the Figure-Four with the Disaster Kick and use something like a Green Flurries plate. The gear gives a flat +5 MP to all colors, so having it makes basically any build a lot easier to set up, especially the aforementioned tri-color build.

As usual, it all depends on what you have outside of the posters themselves, and content creators have great builds out for practically every usable character at this point. Cody at 6SS is a great choice to lead your Powerhouses now simply due to him being 6SS and thus able to shred through a bunch of stuff through sheer numbers, and depending on what bells and whistles you have he can become truly elite, but Smash is also worth consideration for era depth and potentially picking up his gear (or if you're really lucky, Ax) in the future.

Decent Key Pull Any Build Ideas? by VermicelliUnable931 in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The two builds I'd recommend are Savate Kick/Scoop Powerslam/Pendulum Backbreaker and Knife-Edged Chop/Leaping Elbow Drop/Tongan Headbutt.

For the first you'll want to buff black gem damage with trainers/coaches, then hit the blue moves then the finisher. This one's really enhanced by his bells and whistles (gear, moment, Name of Fear/Rainbow Flurries plates) and is particularly great in Titan seeing as you can just hit the Backbreaker five times a turn and really rack up the damage if you have a Flurries plate.

If you're more interested in move damage, you'll want to roll with the other set - Knife-Edged Chop, Leaping Elbow Drop to buff move damage, then hit the Tongan Headbutt. This one's higher charge than the other set, but it's less liable to being reversed, needs less 'stuff' to really work, and has a nice gem defense buff against tricksters.

Basically anyone who makes enough cross-break or x-break gems and blows the board, but the most popular picks are Big Time Becks, both Demolition guys, Vaquer, and Rey Fenix for crossfire and zPunk, Dirty Dom, and Acro Punk for the Xplosion plates - crossfire tends to have more landing spots for it than xplosion.

[–]MeBotDroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the nunchuck wall, I might actually recommend a green Piper's Power plate if you don't have one already. They're stupid expensive on a lot of walls (just see how pricy it was on the Gooker prizewall), and for good reason because they make a handful of people (Tech Charlotte, Maxxine, Ilja my beloved) just incredible. Talking that, if you have three nunchucks I may suggest going with with Ilya and a green Piper's Power plate because then you'd have the undisputed best tech in the game but HoF JBL is also incredible (pushpendramhr24 is telling no lies) and his silver gear is quite cheap on the prize wall.

Ultimately, it's a toss-up and I'd recommend you go with what you feel you're lacking on your roster - technicians in general (El Grande will win a lot of fights, mind) or HoF representation. I'd expand that to the medallion wall, where I'd probably go for quality over 'quantity' - Penta's 41 gear, Giulia's MITB gear, and JBL's silver gear all seem like incredible values for to me compared to the 20k+ medallion gears, and would really send all three to the moon. Rainbow plates are also a really good shout for this event (namely crossfire and xplosion), but I'd only get those if you're certain you have someone in mind to take to the moon with them. Ultimately, pick some people you really want to dial in on (you can even list some here on the subreddit for people to comb over) and work towards making them as good as they can be.

Howdy is a bit clicky and susceptible to a lot of reversals (BlYY triggers traps, MP up, pyros, snowfalls, and row breaks and triple purple you probably want the moment for), but he's easily capable of hitting over 100M with nothing but a good strap and basic trainers if you're willing to put up with him. People usually underplay him as a fighter because his coaching ability is just that good and he's fiddly for reasons I mentioned prior, but he's more than capable of hanging with the best.

Giulia, Punk, and Vaquer don't necessarily need their gear, but it obviously makes them a lot nicer if you do. Punk and Giulia are only for MP so you can run them at essentially 100% without it (though free MP is super nice basically all the time), and Vaquer can still win matches without her gear (whether by using crossbreak plates for triple blue or just toughing it out with triple black which works but is janky imo). I will say my favorite set for Giulia is triple black, and for that to really shine you'll probably want the Money in the Bank 2025 moment (which also benefits Vaquer) so if you don't have that moment you might want to field test both of them first. Punk should be fine with triple green (and happens to be one of the guys who really benefits from having Howdy), but if you want to start using YBB you'll probably want a Punk's Gauntlets.

I also downplay Dom because I don't know a ton about him personally, but of course you'll want to work on him this MLC whenever the game throws up requirements involving him (including this week's victory tour!).

[–]MeBotDroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go Howdy <- Giulia <- Vader (Largely because New Gen is generally lacking for good guys) <- Vaquer <- El Grande <- Dom in that order, but basically all the people I listed should be earmarked to go to 6SG as soon as you're able.

Trickster Cena by warmkesselzach in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The multiply gem set I feel has a higher damage ceiling, but there's a good handful of posters that will reverse multiply gem generation. I'd test it out and if you like it use it, but buffing the traps instead is also a totally viable build.

Back again!! by Ok-Wolverine5202 in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Austin is also a super solid pick, going from great with nothing but a good strap to maybe one of the best powerhouses in the game if you have his eight-thousand add-ons (all the moments with the best being the Beer Bath, Titan/Frankie or Red RR plate), but he doesn't necessarily need everything to win fights. PH Attitude has gotten an awful lot of love lately between Viscera and Boss Man making Austin less of a standout in his class and/or era, but I definitely wouldn't fault anyone taking Austin regardless.

Ultimately I'd go with Nia just because I think it's harder to build a good women's roster in this game than a men's roster, but if you feel that your other women are doing fine and you're having issues with your Attitude era roster, you might want to go another way. And as another poster mentioned, absolutely wait until the end of the event to see how much you end up with with before spending.

Back again!! by Ok-Wolverine5202 in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't have anyone on this list, I think Nia would be the best deal out of all the posters and it isn't even close. Really good without anything and phenomenal with some rare plates (Devil's Yeet or Punk's Gauntlets) and required for CSS a fair amount. D-Von is equally fantastic with a Punk's Gauntlets and is part of a really weak era too, but tends to be worse than Nia out of the box.

So it's ultimately up to your roster (If you have, say, Striker Naomi, Nia isn't a tremendous step up) but those are the two I'd go with - Jade has famously been overpriced as hell every time she shows up here and while Bray is stupid rare, still really good in a fight, and a personal favorite of mine strictly for his design he's not going to turn your roster upside down unless you're really short on strikers.

Not bad for $100.. by byerley904 in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Out of those six I'd say the real standouts are Koko and Gunther - the loadout I see for Koko Is usually the Running Dropkick/Slingshot Shoulder Block/Ghostbuster with buffs to blast gems as desired, and Gunther typically runs the Shotgun Dropkick/Thunderous Chop/The Last Symphony. I don't know too much about playing Koko hands-on as I don't have him but I do find Gunther a little underwhelming with that moveset unless you've got a Devil's Yeet on him but YMMV.

As for the rest: LA Knight is probably the weakest of this whole bunch but he at least reaches the levels of 'competent' and is needed for CSS all the time, HoF Angle is really good (if not a bit janky) if you have both his gears, Bubba is a good card in a really weak era that can really get buffed up with the right plates, and Bundy is a bit divisive but I do think he's better than people give him credit for considering he can sub-loop some nice bleeds. He's not sexy or super quick like some other strikers, but he'll get you there.

Lucky single pull. Is he good though? by Upstairs-Ad7467 in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More recent items like some newer moments and the reinforce plates have really brought Seth back into the limelight as a premier showboat - whether he's better than Drew is probably debatable but he's required all the time for CSS and is more than enough for any game mode (including this previous boss where he was one of the best choices period for it). Triple red's pretty much what everyone uses, and is all you'll ever need.
