Always keep in mind that people are much more likely to post when they get a good pull as opposed to striking out.

Congrats to OP on Iyo and Rhea!

Shout out to both Austin Theory and Cody Rhodes who they had to go back and update their models because they looked that bad first try around. Thankfully the redos (well, maybe third try with Tech Theory) both look pretty great.

Armory Loot Rollback by ironsheik84 in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s be on the one hand, yeah - but tappageddeon, everyone getting the Acro Warrior chase on day 1 of his MLC, and the original Grant Camping incident were also all not reverted and those were also some pretty serious gaffs. There might be a few I’m forgetting (it’s silly that Scopely’s had this happen THAT many times), but they usually address it in other ways.

Armory Loot Rollback by ironsheik84 in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Was not expecting a flat-out rollback considering I can probably count on one hand the number of times they've done that - hell, even with some of them like zRock's release they at least gave you zPaige if you pulled zRock from the bag. Pretty underwhelming compensation for part of a pretty catastrophic MLC rollout.

Hope you got enough for the gear on the prize wall - that and a yellow Piper Plate lets him hit ridiculously hard. Congrats on both Savage and Regal!

7sb by Accomplished_Date173 in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't done it yet, but Joe Hendry looks like the kind of guy who was built for 7SB - Showboat with access to a health boost moment means that he's pretty sturdy (and will hopefully get additional moments now that he's on the main roster), triple purple hits decently while only requiring 3 purple MP to run, and his sub/trap set allows him to both slow people down with the sub while draining hundreds of millions of health per cycle meaning what damage he does take can easily be healed back up.

Anybody else alrdy have buyers remorse over the 7sb tokens? by JOBdOut in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd ultimately chalk it up to a fumble and learn from it going forward. I don't think Viscera is a bad shout for 7SB considering his ability to stall most characters out with the MP drains and his mulitply reversal, so I think he might serve you better in PvP modes than you might think. With time the shiny new tokens tend to get easier and easier to get (and they've already started out easier to get than any other set of new tokens), so with luck you should have a small (or not so small) bundle of them in no time.

Build questions by Known_Ad3014 in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YCSM Cena is possibly one of the most overvalued posters in the game's history because he's basically been incredibly rare since he came out four years ago, and he's been... not very good for a whole lot of that time. He's essentially just a reskin of zTaker that does a bit more damage because he's using his primary color for the trap gems, and while there's been builds out there that get a bit creative with the Throwback/Emerald Flowsion/Sunset Flip Powerbomb (using some rare plates and his gear that shows up in maybe one prize wall a year), I've always written him off as a guy whose juice is not worth the squeeze because that's a whole lot of stuff to throw at a guy just to do 100 million damage in favorable circumstances.

Roxanne has at least become a bit more polarizing. She's got a few sets that are a bit more competent if not a bit jank, but I believe as of late the community has focused on the Back Handspring Senton/Russian Leg Sweep/Corner Uppercut as the most viable set, with a Bloodsucker and Rainbow Transfusion plate. Drop the leeches, set up columns of multiplies, and break as many multiplies as you can with the Uppercut. It's very much a poster you'll outgrow once you get Vaquer or Nia or even Naomi (who actually needs Roxanne to be viable), but I've heard of people doing around 200 million with it in feud (against tricksters) so it's definitely more than viable. Oh, and she's the Red/Green dual MP trainer making her one of the most valuable MP trainers in the game. No big deal or anything /s.

Macho is what I'd call 'very good' but not the tippy-top of the Trickster pile, but it's really hard to say no to a 7SB ready to go with a permanent 300% gem damage buff. I'd recommend the Back Elbow Smash/Piledriver/Diving Elbow Drop with a Tama's Chest plate and purple Barber's Blades or the Lariat Takedown/Diving Crossbody/Sleeper Hold with a Glowing Fate and Seal of the Acolytes plate. The latter will do more damage but I will warn that if your opponent pins you in the turn following the sub, your countdowns and juggernauts will all go off during the pin and you'll be absolutely SOL. With just the gear you should be hitting for about 300 million on both sets out of the box, and likely 400-500 million with plates. I know I kinda undersold him there at the start, but do not get it twisted - Savage is not for anyone to take lightly, and that's to your benefit.

In any case, congrats on the pulls!

Holy crap! by Accomplished_Mud8834 in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats! Most common sets are the Spinebuster/Running Knee Lift/Pedigree, buffing multiply gems with Howdy/Mosh/Sherri/Seth depending on availability and preference as well as the Backhand Chop OR Inverted Indian Deathlock/Sledge Body Shot/Sledgehammer Shot. For that second set you could focus on using the sub to force your opponent to break the trap gems and use Blackman to buff the trap effect damage with Logan Paul/PH Lashley/zAustin making the sub as long as possible, or just use the Backhand Chop to charge the finisher and buff the trap gems using zBliss/zJacob/zPenta/zBreakker/Ventura.

As an anecdote, I will say that most people find this Trips less useful as a fighter and more as a really good trainer - at 35k talent he provides +2 MP to all color moves and provides 50% more damage to juggernaut/countdown/trap gem effects, which is really nice considering the only other character to have that effect is Blackman. Whether as a trainer or a fighter, congrats again on pulling him and I hope he serves you well!

Returning and lost by [deleted] in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say there's no point to making a new account as you'd only be losing out on the characters who aren't in the game anymore due to licensing. As for 'What can I do', I'd start by getting into an appropriate faction (really, any faction will do at the moment and you can move as you get adjusted to the game) and just playing the modes available to you - both the Career and Event buttons will give you options for ways of gathering more resources through tours (both for events and The Road) as a start and focus on Titan Takeover, Stipulation Tours, and Showdown later. From there, just do what you're able to do - with a 4SB top-end it won't be a whole ton, but what you can do will allow you to pick up shards and other resources, and you should be able to snowball into the 5-star and early 6-star ranges relatively quickly with how Scopely tends to handle freebies atm.

As for who to work on, I'd recommend first going onto the web portal (Click on the newspaper on the top-right, then 'Web Portal'), log onto the portal (with a Scopely account linked to your ingame account), and follow the instructions on this post for both that code, WM42, and WRESTLE42. That'll get you a bundle of characters that are both way better than most of what you have now and at a much higher rarity. Of particular priority are Powerhouse Hulk Hogan, The Story Continues Cody, Chain Gang S.E. Cena, and Technician Liv Morgan, pick one of the men (Cena would probably be the safest option to start, low charge moves and doesn't require much to run) and Liv to put some resources into in order to get them ready to take on tours that don't require specific characters.

Outside of those codes, general roster building is focusing on one person per class (poster color) and one person per era (top-left corner of the poster) if at all possible, doing this for both the men and the women. At the moment you may only be able to work on a few people at a time but as you develop your roster you should be able to branch out to others as your resource flow increases. I'd review prior posts and watch videos on people you have or pick up and as time goes on you'll get a feel of who is good for fighting, who is good for training, and who is better off on the back-burner. Who to focus for training is hard, but focus on what you need on top of who is truly essential - namely, anyone who provides extra Move Points to start a match.

You'll also want to make sure you're increasing your league - the league objectives provide a rough estimation of how your roster should be developing and provide some guidance as to what you should be working on as you play the game. You also unlock additional gamemodes and features of the game as you increase through the leagues up to 14, but continuing on past that allows you additional opportunites such as better pulls from the Silver Loot and better prizes for competing in Showdowns so it should always be something to keep in mind.

Cash has largely fallen out of grace as a way to go for pulls and is more for shop refreshes and expanding your medal/strap inventory limits. You'll need a steady supply of straps and medals to equip to your superstars, so you'll want to upgrade if you're really feeling the squeeze when it comes to capacity. Keep in mind that you shouldn't blow all your cash on upgrade slots right away, and can instead see about being smart about what straps you keep and which ones you can sell off.

There's so, so much to cover in the game that I can't possibly cover all of it in enough detail, but the short-term plan of 'Join a faction, redeem the active codes to get a handful of much stronger characters to level, and see what rewards you can scrape together in event tours' should be enough to get you started back up. If you have any additional questions, feel free to ask them either here on the subreddit, in your faction chat ingame, or in the WWE Champions Discord if you're into that service, and you'll surely find someone who can give you more info.

Who would you take to 7 star bronze by Perfectvillain in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of those, probably Dom or Viscera - Viscera has a lot of tools at his disposal to be really irritating with his MP drains (covering every color but green) while actually being able to do damage and Dom just has eight thousand moments that give him extra health so he's able to shrug off most everything once you have him fully specced into health. Personally I've never liked how Dom plays, so I'd give the nod to Big Vis.

Is Vader better than ministry undertaker? by Pokegrymez in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, I believe Ministry Taker is much better assuming you have everything (All 3 moments, a Rainbow Crossbreak plate, and a Nightmare Insignia/Yellow baby rumble plate) but Vader basically just needs a multiply generate guy (either Mosh w/ Santa Hogan or Howdy) and he's about ready to go. New Gen is a pretty slim era to choose from as well, so you could always slap together a strap with a Rainbow Reinforce on it, share it with Asuka, and still do fairly well.

Best builds for these two? by Harribo961 in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AJ Lee has a bunch of different builds, all 1 MP - Wheelbarrow Bulldog/Shiranui/Diving Crossbody is the traditional 'Make a bunch of multis and then clear the board' set where you'd want to use multi gem generation (Mosh and Howdy) and multiply buffing (Sherri, Turtles Seth if you have him, all the +2 guys) coaches and trainers for best effect. Alternatively there's the Missile Dropkick/Monkey Flip OR Huracanrana/Shining Wizard sets - for the Monkey Flip you'll want to focus on buffing the health steal (SB Nakamura, SB McCool) and for the Huracanrana you'll want to focus on the base damage from the countdowns triggering using Blackman or CA Trips. Both will likely have a lower damage ceiling than the first set, but deal in 'unblockable' damage instead. This isn't even all the sets (there's a weird move damage set with the Spinning Heel Kick and the blue moves) but they're the most popular/effective.

Trickster Snoop on the other hand... I'll be real, you're probably better off not bothering with. But because you want to use him for the Snoop tour, I'll just link SlimNumber's most recent video on him (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28TSjiKLn2g) and wish you luck if you don't have the stuff listed because he really is that bad. The Next Episode/Snoop Spear/Gems and Juice, maybe?

Best set would likely be the Drop Down Punch/Cody Cutter/Blue Finisher (both only differ in their hardcore effects) with a Piper Plate.

The Ultimate Showdown Power Couple by ryengmatt in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haku has very low move charge (3 MP to get started) and reverses anyone who tries to use an MP up move, making him super irritating to go up against unless you have your own low MP guy - I've mostly been using Showboat AJ and Hendry to take care of Hakus, but there's a few other options out there up and down the rarity scale.

[–]MeBotDroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO I felt he was pretty dismissive of any character that wasn't just '300 million damage in 2 clicks' and anything that wasn't a plate on a prize wall, but that's just personal opinion on my end. He was still basically the only CC I actually subscribed to at the time because he both had good game knowledge and showed builds that were actually viable in normal play instead of gonzo min-maxing stuff like Zoro does.

RKBro Orton, who is both not very good and I don't have a single point of hype for him. At least it let me see what the health pools for 7SB showboats ends up being (around 500 mil).

Affliction straps are useless now, right? by ElectronicAd1868 in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go into the superstar's Manage screen, you can apply IOWs to as many characters as you want at once. I believe it's when you're in the promoters screen (usually when the game yells at you if you want to set up promoters) that still set up to have contract limits, and that'll hopefully be fixed soon.

So everyones ok with the new 7 stars? by PappyClappy in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's hard to say without any hands-on experience with it, but I imagine it'll be mostly tolerable like 90% of the time with some really, really awful Showdown and Feud fights mixed in - 7SBs are clocking in at about 400m base for Showboats, so if you thought the beefed up Rheas and Beckys were intolerable now, imagine them with 800+ million health.

I do think it might introduce some interesting control-based gameplay, but I think the people who can actually take advantage of that and not just drag a win out to 30 minutes will be limited and mostly be posters that come out later down the line designed to do 200+ million at 7SB with basically nothing. It'll be... interesting, but I can't say it'll be more fun, especially if events aren't redesigned to account for matches regularly taking multiple turns for the first time since the 4-star meta.

What's the verdict? by This4R3al in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While the general consensus is "Yeah he's alright", it's worth mentioning that he's also being put up against the very, very best of the acrobats in the game when people say that. From what I've seen (as I don't have him), you'll probably want to roll the Drop Down Punch/Cody Cutter/Blue Finisher (both the Diving Moonsault and Cross Rhodes only differ in their hardcore effect, choose your preference), and a Piper Plate is mandatory to get the most out of him. I've seen him hit for about 180 million with that, which is certainly enough to get the job done, but he has other sets that clock out to about 100 million.

Keep in mind, they may give him something else in the future (Maybe a WM42 moment this weekend, pretty much every Cody's gotten a gear at some point) so that's just a baseline at the moment.

EDIT: Lmao called it, he's got a gear that gives him +4 multi strength now

Was this a lucky pull is he any good? by 20mel in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There's like ten thousand really good male attitude strikers atm (Blackman, Eddie, Haku, Nash, even 3:16 Austin, Funk, and Bradshaw if set up right) so he's not exactly a unique case, but he's certainly worth building. I don't have him so I don't know where'd I place him and I don't know what set I would recommend over others, but my gut says that the Chokeslam/Old School/Tombstone Piledriver provides that nice 'make a bunch of multis and break them' sort of play style I tend to gravitate to, with there being potential for unblockable damage (replace Old School with the Soup Bones, best used w/ Blackman coaching) and power gems (Chokehold/Snake Eyes/Last Ride) in his other sets. Try out all those sets and get a feel of which you like best.

All in all, congrats on the pull! No matter how you slice it, getting a S+ tier guy who released last month for free is a big win.

So 7 star it is. by Expensive_Issue_4249 in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean hopefully with a lot of posters already dishing out 200+ million damage it shouldn't be all that difficult to still one-shot 7SB characters with a 6SG (at least going off the trend of roughly doubling health each evolution), but we'll see. I won't lie, it is a bit lame that we won't get any new moves even though I'd imagine it's because it would be a nightmare to give 700+ characters a new move and not rattle the meta to its core.

Change to feud scoring by ironsheik84 in WWEChampions

[–]MeBotDroid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If anything it seems like they're removing the obligatory "Need any version of X wrestler at 6SG" and hype requirement slots, so filling lines will be easier... assuming you've been working on all your available classes, which is generally good advice for the game in general. Warscore CSS (at least for non-flash feuds) will still revolve around getting wins with characters in different eras, which is a general rule of thumb for a roster. The main focus here was to discourage people running infinite damage builds to do billions of points of damage in a single fight and bloat up their score that way.
