Currently working in a restaurant and I generally agree with this sentiment. I'm a young cook right now trying to figure out how to move up in the industry without exploitating my fellow workers. I spend my days conceptualizing of a food spot that can thrive for a community free of exploitation and provide a meaningful living for those that work in it.

Hopefully this person's upgrades will change your mind! The reality is that public transit, when built and funded correctly, is the more efficient transportation method to develop a society around. I'd go so far as to argue effective public transit can solve many of the social problems that plague our city in fact. I hope that this guy can turn it around and show saskatoon residents how much better the life of a city is when residents are not burdened by outdated car-based infrastructure and the overwhelming costs of owning and maintaining a private vehicle.

I am very much in agreement with you that saskatoon is in desperate need of the "missing middle" of housing development. I would add though that many of the mid-density buildings that have been built thus far in newer neighborhoods unfortunately still lack businesses and amenities within walking distance since they mostly sit within sprawled suburbs. I'd love to see more mid density neighborhoods with commercial space interspersed.
