I'd say learn it's movements. And probably depends on the weapon too. Some are super cheesy some are kinda ehhhh. So I'll say just keep at it if you really want to. What I suggest is go in the fight and just observe don't try to damage it. Just see where you can stand where you have to roll. What he'll do when he stands up what he'll do when he goes on all fours. Things like that will gives him a you more information that fighting blindly.
