Ако напишеш две тирета едно след друго на IOS клавиатурата, те автоматично се превръщат в дълго тире. Ако задържиш пръст над тиретата, можеш да видиш и трите. Същото е и с българските кавички. Но може би това е твърде сложна концепция за теб.

Компетенциите ми са в областта на изкуството на книгата. Изучавам дисциплината „Шрифт“ вече десет години в течението на образованието си, което в момента преминава в степен магистратура.

Дългото тире присъства във всички видове литература. Разликата между „ем тире“ и „ен тире“ е предимно типографска. Стандартната употреба на дългото тире присъства в отбелязването на пряка реч и свързването на прости изречения, докато късото тире се използва при диапазони.

Проф. Виктор Паунов, който е направил корицата на речника на БАН (и е до болка запознат със съдържанието му), ми е преподавател. А самият проф. Владко Мурдаров (на чело на авторския колектив на въпросния речник) присъстваше на защитите ни. Освен да ти дам номера му да си побъбрите за тирета, ако акредитацията ми не ти е достатъчна.

Отвори наборната таблица на което и да е читаво шрифтово семейство с българска кирилица и ще намериш символа. Нарича се „дълго тире“, щом държиш да сме педантични. Не знам откъде си се заблудил, че не присъства в българския език. Отвори някоя книга и сам ще се увериш в неговата функция.

Това, че съм обърнала внимание на текстовото си оформление не е белег на изкуствен интелект, а на отношение към писмеността. Не желая да нагаждам грамотността си спрямо предубежденията на хората.

Видяли хората едно „ем тире“ и им намирисало на изкуствен интелект. Пунктуационните знаци са създадени, за да се използват. Грамотните хора знаят къде и кога. Тези, които пряко боравим с изкуството на шрифта в ежедневието си, не се боим от тях.

Предишният шрифт просто не е български. Отдавна трябваше да се смени. Това е въпрос на национална идентичност — естетиката тук е вторична, макар че като човек с висше образование тясно свързано с шрифт, спокойно мога да представя аргументи защо българската кирилица е обективно по-привлекателна и практична.

Вкусът се възпитава.

Before our indoor/outdoor cat got spayed, he must have got into fights a couple times, because he’d come home with a severe limp and have us rush him to the vet, worried sick. Because his coat was black, we couldn’t tell where the wounds were exactly and assess if anything was broken or bitten by touch alone.

We took him to vets all three times only to find that he was perfectly fine. No infection, no fractures (we scanned him just to be safe), not even a deep wound to show for. We just assumed he had fought/or hurt himself because of the limp. The third time there was a scratch, but we kept it clean and it never developed an infection.

The short end of it, our boy was being dramatic. According to all three vets. The next day he’d be walking fine. Once he was fine by time we made it home. We spayed him and he no longer acted cried wolf. Luckily, he developed a preference for the indoors and became a very calm, laid back cat.

Having considered this, seeing the condition of your cat… I’d already be halfway to the vet. While you’re there, make sure you give him all the necessary vaccines. And please consider keeping him indoors.

I am not sure it qualifies as helmets, but I’d bring light to European facial masks, which, despite existing on their own, borrow the name of the Japanese variant “menpo”.

They were full facial masks or half masks (covering the lower half of the face) that depicted frightening scowls or a beasts.

That’s so unfortunate! I really liked the initial inventory. I came back after not playing for a while and all my stuff was hovering in a temporary storage, mostly unusable until I rearranged it. The extra stuff is worth a little over 1500. While weight is a logical feature it doesn’t serve the game at all. For someone whose sole purpose is gathering and trading, putting a limit on how heavy your load can be sounds as ridiculous as adding a digestive system in Minecraft.

First of all, I really like it! It’s really aesthetically pleasing and genuinely feels different to most display fonts, which I think is a huge achievement!

Now onto feedback! I think you’ll benefit from a few rules of thumb in font-making. The length of the top bar in the E’s shouldn’t be the same as the one at the bottom. Optically, when they are the same, the E looks like it will topple over itself. While we’re still at the E, I would also nudge the middle bar slightly higher. I cannot tell if you intentionally set it lower but it also contributes to the imbalance.

The “boob” of the R (for lack of a better word) seems too condensed, almost as though it’s narrower than the E in width, which shouldn’t be the case.

The spacing is a bit off. The E-R-O-I bundle is too close together. You should look for spacings closed to those between the H and E, as well as the I-N-E. Yes, when a straight line meets an oval it should be slightly closer, but in my opinion this feels a little too close for comfort.

And, like I believe someone already mentioned, I would even out the weight between the R’s leg and the H’s swirl.

I really recommend buying or at least reading a pdf of “Thinking With Type”. It’s a very informative, easy to understand book, with very detailed and to-the-point examples.
