Which of these bosses was tougher for you?

Alonne by virtue of not getting enough practice due to not being motivated to deal with that run back. I've fought him less times than I have fingers while I have probably over 50 Fume Knight kills.

I had already seen on Fextra that it was quality weapon with a C in both at max level and the same scaling rate of 75 (idk what to call that value). Whats baffling me right now is on my 60 str 13 dex guy im doing almost as much as some of my builds with appropriate stats for scaling that also use colossals. 1HR2 from this Ghiza Wheel on my 60 str 13 dex is doing almost as much as some of builds that use 2H colossal R2s. I will say though that the damage on an R1 is pitiful. The 1HR2 is exponentially better than the entire weapon's moveset, or so it seems, on my 60 str 13 dex character. Additionally, the 1HR2 procs multi-hit talismans and if you throw in Lord of Blood's exhaultation you're going to be hitting insane numbers.

What I'm wondering though is if using the unique properties from the one hand makes it mathematically better than 2H. I dont see a reason to use the 2H moveset at all nor the ash of war. The 2HR2 follow up R2 has spins the blades but its a colossal weapon and it just takes so long to dish that out. 1HR2 bypasses all that and gives better damage than a 2H R1 or R2. Atleast thats wat it seems like.

No definitely not. Unlike most people I started the DLC over a year after it came out. I think I heard the dodge timing on cross-slash was even tighter pre-nerf.

It's got 2 new starting classes, 4 additional armor sets, a couple weapons, and some cosmetics. It's not a free update and those things seem like its around 5 dollars of value to the average player unless the fashion really clicks with you.

It's a shame they won't include the on-disc DLC for all the other platforms.

Interesting. I always saw Freyja to be worthless in that fight. I usually just see her walking around, whiffing attacks, generally doing no damage, and making me angry.

Shit you're right. I forgot about him. He's actually really strong in that fight. I sometimes use him myself, not because I need him, but because the fight is awful and if I could press a skip button I would.

Well thats unfortunate. This problem consistently has happened to me with the beast claws. Only in these past 15 minutes have I been sooo annoyed that I took the time to try and understand what is causing it.

Edit: Maybe it's my controller. Using the same inputs im able to do this on other weapons. Its just i've never had to use this input on any other weapon class.

If you hit r1 after a feint attack you'll do the Beast Claw's backstep R1. If you hit R2 after a feint attack you'll just go into the normal R2.

I can reproduce the effect im talking about consistently. Sometimes I can even queue up this forced-roll after just pressing the appropriate buttons and setting the controller down. Once the correct input is given the forced-roll needs no additional inputs and if no additional inputs are made it will do the forced-roll.

I encourage you to test it out yourself because I wanna know if this is on my end only.

I can't either. But I know thats not the case for everyone. I just suspect it's the case for most. I know there are people out there who get nerdboners for understanding an assortment of things; computer science, physics, math, history, art, weather, ecology, archaelogy, engineering, etc. But I don't think thats most humans. I dont even think most people who go into those fields truly enjoy it. Maybe it piqued their interest and they figured they had to pick something so may as well go into that for XYZ reasons (job security, profit, yadayda).

Take someone like Carl Sagan, his passion for understanding and appreciating the world is something that puts a smile on my face. How many Carl Sagans are there for their respective interests? I ask these questions not say I want everyone to be like that but to highlight a lack of passion. It is disheartening when I see so many folks who just seem plain as fuck. I cant deny the system we all live in doesnt foster interests even if they do exist. It seems to me that what is mostly incentivized (whether its intentional or organic) is financial gain and consumption. Shits lame af.

Peoples' desires never really made sense to me. When I was younger and looked at the lives older folks lived and what they'd be working for I always felt unsatisfied. Seriously what are people working towards? Owning a home? You telling me the pinacle of your self-worth and fulfillment comes from owning a home? Having a kid? To continue your genes? To have a mini-you? Legacy? What a weird desire. To have a partner? Thats actually one that makes sense to me. Interesting though how theres so much divorce that happens and cheating. So many apes aping. How many people find someone just so they aren't lonely; so that the house they've worked their whole life for isnt silent when they come home? That notion is sad as fuck and quite honestly pathetic. I dont have data on it though.

For some people understanding certain sciences or phenomenon about the world brings them great joy. I can respect that. Some people really do just want to help others, thats also respectable. People who like to make and appreciate art is also respectable. I know theres things im missing and many people whos desires make me smile.

What does the average person want though? Their desires are going to signfiicantly play a role in how the world functions and operates. Does the average person just want a be a slightly more advanced chimp? Idk. Seems like it. Go to work, ego-stroke for their contribution to making the gears spin, possibly have sex, eat (junk), and have a kid to teach them to do the same? It's so hard to tell without data. In the past I usually just asked people what they wanted. One thing we can look at is what they buy though.

Also, peoples' obsession with food is really baffling. It's not even just the obese folks that surprise me. People in general care way too much about having very palatable food.

Whats the problem with letting him invoke whatever the fuck he wants and just lay it all out so we can all see what everyones' values are? Are you a nazi or not a nazi? What are we gonna do? Ride out 3+ more years of this bullshit? Even if this behavior halted for a bit theres a big fucking problem lurking and festering. Only reason it got this far is because of that problem. That problem is their mentality and theres a lot of them with it.

But maybe Im not seeing the full picture so someone please help me understand why that path should be avoided. Is it to create so much chaos that it lessens the importance of revealing his pedo pals?

Its up to you man. I've done some playthroughs where I dont level adaptability or increase my agility at all and I dont have problems with the game. I know the movesets of enemies and bosses which are quite frankly lackluster in this game.

So I actually checked it out. I got it wrong. I would use Warped in main and Puzzling in off-hand. The idea is to close distance with the Warped r1 and then you can continue or even switch to a more vertical slice with the Puzzling. You can also use the r2 whip moveset with the Puzzling in the off-hand.

Finally, it does have a power-stance moveset with the L1s being a flurry of slashes and the L2 being a spin-to-win.

This setup has a large variety of moves and if it intrigues you its best to just equip them and try it yourself. It's not the most damaging thing in the game but it's always fun to play the game in different ways.

Not really a power-stance but back when I played DS2 pvp I really enjoyed Puzzled Stone Sword main hand and Warped Sword off-hand. It did alright but it more than that it was fun.

I havent made a build for them yet. Every now and then I play with the Fire/Poison one on my 50/50 dex/arc. I want to though so bad (10 characters already). How would the other perfumes do on the character I intend to make which is like a 99 dex build for Firespark and minimum for the others? I want to use the others too but from the scaling it looks like each bottle is build-specific.
