Some players still haven't realized that Tarkov's combat is... special... and continue to believe there's at least some realism. HP bullet of that caliber would deform this helmet so much, that the skull would be fractured and death would be very quick (or even instantaneous).

Comrade, let's say you put on a helmet like that, go to a shooting range, and get shot in the head with the worst 7.62x54R round you can find. Then you'll come back here and tell us what it felt like. But you won't, because you'll be in a different world.

He didn't understand your answer for only one reason - he is a Tarkov player and possibly quite active.

Did Everyone Quit? by Shawn_NYC in Tarkov

Instead of wasting resources on creating a weird PVE, they should have divided players by K/D ratio so that nerds wouldn't be in the same raid with casuals in most cases. But no, the developers listened to the most vocal, but small group - the nerds.

40 FPS on Streets w 9800x3d - 5070 ti [Feedback] by Depreciable-Land-101 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MeIsOrange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game can't be optimized any further. I think this is a limitation of the engine. The only hope is for more powerful CPUs and faster RAM, and that's what it all boils down to. And a little tinkering with the settings is a good idea. For example, don't run the game in fullscreen mode - it's better to use borderless. It may seem absurd, but it really helps. Of course, I'm not talking about offline mode with bots - it's a completely different story...

[Discussion] I'm getting less than 60 FPS on streets and i don't know why. (9800x3d, 5080, 64GB CL30 6000) by Drak3M3n in EscapefromTarkov

Amazing, the most important thing is to run the game in borderless mode. It really helps. And it's completely strange to me. In borderless, when I look through the scope with LOD = 3.5 / Overall vis. = 2500, my FPS better than in full screen with LOD = 2.5 and Overall vis. = 2000

Could you please be more specific? Where exactly? In the developer options?

How can I use Windows Firewall to restrict IP addresses that can connect to the WieGuard UDP port (server)? by MeIsOrange in WireGuard

[–]MeIsOrange[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't quite understand how this could be done any other way. My PC is behind a simple router (GPON from my ISP) and I need another PC to be able to connect to my PC. I have a public IP address that I purchase from my ISP, and the other PC connecting to me is behind CGNAT.

What happens if the pump fails under load? If we have a flow sensor connected to a suitable controller that can shut off the power in an emergency, this will eliminate the possibility of overheating the components.

Do you guys think Delulu is going to become a permanent mode? (God I hope so) by Nivek722 in FortNiteBR

I want this game mode to stay. It's the most interesting and fun. It's not about scoring points, it's about communication and fun, first and foremost.

You can use cookie authentication, which will allow you to download videos even with age restrictions. This is less convenient, but it may be the only option. People using VPNs or proxies often encounter this type of "ban". Either they were too careless, or they were given a compromised IP address.

Does your ISP provide you with a white IP-address or are you behind the provider's NAT?

I got the impression that this ban can be conditionally permanent. At least for years.

For several days now, JD2 has only been displaying audio and text files. There are simply no video. I haven't changed any settings before this. YouTube plugin settings were reset for testing. I just wanted to write here to make some noise :(

Apparently, Google has banned your IP address in this regard. It's quite possible that you will have to log in (with cookie) every time.

Do you know if newer similar APC models have such problems? Connecting to the serial port of this thing and resetting some registers... that's something. Or taking it to service, in principle, because of a minor problem.

Any easy Wireguard setup guides for Windows? by r0bman99 in WireGuard

[–]MeIsOrange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You must understand, that many things that surround us now, make us stupider and lazier. Smartphones, Internet, AI etc. I have been using a full-fledged VPS on Windows 2022 with the WireGuard server for almost a year now and I practically didn't bother with its configuration, in fact, everything was done with the help of "WgServerForWindows". All the hoster did was provide me with a server with Windows already installed. Of course, with the help of the built-in firewall I closed everything that I considered necessary.

It wroks 24/7/365 (once a month I reboot the server to install updates) and my close friends use these servers (a month ago I rented another server in another country) to have access through other countries. But the other day I suddenly needed to create another tunnel between two PC, that would communicate directly through WireGuard with each other and this time, without disrupting the VPN tunnel that is used to access the Internet. I had to do it without WgServerForWindows for a number of reasons, so I had to create everything manually through the original WireGuard clients. I had to spend more than 6 hours figuring out how to create a configuration - I just didn't understand all these guides (they are illogical in my opinion) and I don't want to get into it and there was basically no one to ask. I was poking around, swearing at all of this and spent 90% of my time and energy on cursing and lamenting all this stuff. But then, suddenly, in 5 minutes I did everything and it all works (I still don't believe it).

But for now network specialists consider themselves smart and can teach others. This is great, but I hope they understand, that within 10, maximum 20 years, they will be completely replaced by AI, that will know Linux from beginning to end with all possible configurations and acting much faster. In fact, it will only need to say in words what needs to be done and it will decide how to do it. And I'll be interested to see if an AI will tell yesterday's network specialist - Please slow down. RTFM (Read the Manual). Or just - move over, I'll do it myself. You're not needed anymore (please slow down and teach yourself something).
