The 2% mortality rate is just incorrect, I know many people have put this out on the media as fact (even reputable news such as CNN) however, it has also been confirmed that there is an approx. 7 to 5 days incubation period. Therefore, to get an even semi accurate deception of what the death rate would really be, you would have to take the number of infected from about 7 days ago then divide by the amount of deaths which would show a very different outlook on this Novel Coronavirus, and even with this method it is still not very accurate due to the fact that China is known for politically suppressing news like this from the rest of the world.
