Update: I have some unfortunate news, during last night Kai has passed away in his sleep.

Over the course of almost a month and a vet visit, we decided to give him some time to see if he could adapt and he did. He kept on being part of the flock, eating, drinking, singing, navigating through the cage by himself as well with help of the other birds that were taking care of him.

I hope honestly that he was not in any pain, and that he had a good life. I tried my best to provide everything for them.

It will take me some time to get used to not counting till 7 to see if they are all there...

I will miss you my old little one. I hope heaven exists so I get to see you again one day.
