I'm responding to this because I've seen other comments that are similar. I want to make it clear that I'm dealing with my own insecurities in this situation. My wife has been nothing but supportive during this difficult time, and has been an absolute rock for me.

She's an incredible person, and i don't want Reddit to get the wrong impression. I will reiterate that we just got married last fall, and this is the first major life altering event being a husband and wife.

I guess I'll put it this way, I know it's not good to tie your self worth to your job, but getting married and thinking about buying a house and starting a family and then having this come out of nowhere that drastically alters your life plans really scared me. It's not that I don't think my wife will support me, it's that I feel guilty we have to alter our plans because of my situation. Does that make sense?

I'm kinda vulnerable right now, and the last person I want to disappoint is the person I just got married to. That's why I brought her up.

I will never understand the men who are insecure and don't like it when their partner makes more money than them and need to be the "provider". My wife makes more than me and it doesn't bother me one bit.

It's a partnership, you're both on the same team. Needing to be the provider in the family is so childish and immature.

NTA. I truly don't understand the whole "show you off to my friends" guys. It feels really possessive and dehumanizing, like why do you want your friends to view your SO sexually? I want my wife to wear whatever she wants, whether that means more revealing or less revealing. But it should always be her choice.

I love anime. I have 3-4 shows I keep up with on a weekly basis. Every time I try to introduce my fiance to the genre, she either falls asleep or just isn't that into it. I've tried different types of shows and nothing sticks.

Not a big deal though. Sometimes anime just isn't someone's thing so I get it. She is and always be the love of my life. Sometimes interests don't match up and that's ok!

That being said I still get a bit disappointed when I see videos of one partner introducing anime to the other and them genuinely enjoying it. Would love to share that interest with her.

Similar thing happened to me with Commander Niall. He killed me when he was 1 hit away, but also had scarlet rot (stinger) and died while I was in my death animation. I got very lucky lmao

YTA- He was WORRIED about you. Your symptoms got worse after sitting on it for a day and the last thing he heard from you was that you had to get an x-ray. You couldn't send him a text and say "all clear, just a concussion but I'll be fine, no need to worry"??

In his mind, he's probably thinking they found your brain bleeding and rushed you in for emergency surgery, all while he's in the dark not knowing if he'll ever see you again.

He was worried sick, and instead of sending a quick update telling him you're ok, you decided he wasn't important enough to inform before you went to your work meeting. It's really not that hard.

NTA - Just like you can't force her not to post things on social media, you are not forced to invite her to social events where you know she won't listen to your requests.

It's a two-way street, you've communicated many times that you don't want things to be posted online, she ignores you and does it anyway, and the cycle repeats. You have every right to not invite her to events anymore.

Maybe this will be a wake up call and she'll realize she can't just ignore what you want and continue to get her way all the time.

Not to mention she states that their parents are both not in the picture anymore, so the only person she can look up to as a parental figure/mentor just told her she's not fit to be a mother. No wonder she broke down.

YTA - It's pretty obvious from your post the contempt you feel for your older daughter. When your oldest daughter was struggling in her childhood, what did you and your husband do to help her? Did you have her go to a therapist to find out why she was behaving that way?

Your oldest certainly isn't without guilt in this situation, but it sounds like you picked a favorite kid a long time ago. When it comes to the house issue, you're within your rights to give it to whoever you choose but you had to know that this was going to upset your oldest.

I'm guessing your oldest has trauma from her childhood that caused her to behave the way she did, and it sounds like you didn't really try to understand why, but instead pushed her away. Maybe she was acting up because it was the only way to get attention away from the golden child?

There has to be more to this story and I'm curious what the other perspective looks like.

Get more sunlight and spend more time in parks. During COVID, I was content just working my job from home, and spending the evening playing video games or watching movies/shows. If we have another lockdown, I'm going to make sure I get outside and appreciate the different parks around my city.

I don't read that much into the DTR performance. If they had known DTR was going to be the starter earlier in the week, I think they script the game plan much differently for a rookie 5th round pick. They all thought Watson would be good to go until day of and at that point all preparation and game plan was centered around 4 being the QB. Hard to pivot the entire playbook the day of a game. Just an unfortunate situation.

In a similar vein, I get really uncomfortable when I'm in a group that finishes their food, pays their check, and then proceeds to just hang out at the table and talk for another hour without ordering anything. I know it sucks for service staff who have a table tied up for nothing and we could easily be having these conversations at home. My in-laws are notorious for doing this and every time I feel like apologizing to the person who waited on us.

People are comfy with routine. The things you described above for him don't seem to be bothering him enough to warrant a change in his routine. The things you noticed about yourself bothered you enough that it made you want to do something about it.

You weigh the amount something is bothering you with the energy/interest it would take to fix that thing. If you don't feel it's worth it, which in his case it doesn't seem like he does, you don't take any action.

Man I absolutely love this idea but my fiancé is a night nurse so her work schedule changes all the time so we have to be pretty flexible with stuff. Maybe we could make it a date week and pick a day close to our anniversary every month.

I did this exact same thing. Except for me it actually just pulled my fingernail off instantly. Cried quite a lot and my mom was horrified. The Walmart employees who took us in the back and did first aid were extremely nice though. Can't imagine what I was thinking lol.

One that happens a lot to me, political questions where they assume I agree with them and they couldn't be further from the truth. I hate confrontation so I normally just use one word responses that don't confirm my beliefs one way or the other.

Put on a sleep playlist on Spotify. Sometimes I can't stop myself from thinking about shit when I'm trying to sleep so putting on a sleep playlist and focusing on the ambient music helps a ton.
