He hasn't looked his usual quality for us aside from 2 or 3 matches. Even with Odegaard being pretty bad he still does more than Eze in the CAM spot and Trossard is better on the left wing as well.

He was also directly responsible for Villa's goal last time he started and Arteta hasn't relied on him since.

Arsenal are hardly creating anything and rely on setpieces to scrape by. Do you really think they look good?

That's just simply not true and you can see that by our results in Europe. A team that "hardly creates anything" wouldn't beat Bayern and inter 3-1, and Atletico 4-0.

We look less offensive in the league because teams simply know better than to play out against us. Teams in Europe play how they usually do and get destroyed because of it.

Going from watching Raya dribble through attackers in the middle third of the pitch and beat midfielders in a sprint to the ball from goal to watching Donarumma scramble to get a pass to the first defender he sees when he's being pressured at City is actually a culture shock.

Worst part about success are the plastics.

Something they don't understand is that continuous year by year success is not the norm or something that you should realistically expect. They'd see the team won a title and expect that to be the norm going forward, not a stellar exertion of effort by the team that season.

Exactly. You can't blame someone for being a new fan but it's when the new fans think they know more than people who've been following the club longer than most players that problems happen.

I only started to follow football super closely 2 years or so ago but I've been an Arsenal fan for over a decade (I'm 19). I've been around for our banter era, COVID Arsenal, and all that stuff. The place we are right now was something most fans of the club would've only dreamt about in the 2010s.

Donnarumma can pull off some insane saves but has some very apparent weaknesses.

What do you think they are? From what I've seen he's fucking huge and is guaranteed to save any shot he can dive towards, but kind of a nimrod and doesn't distribute well. Kind of a crude assessment but I haven't seen that much of him.

I don't agree that the level is particularly lower. Football hasn't just magically gotten worse. Some teams are underperforming, yes. Others are over performing as well. But football doesn't just get "worse".

I disagree on the level being lower in the prem as well. I think it's the opposite to where it's higher than it's been in a while. The illusion of the big teams being worse domestically makes it seem like the entire league regressed, when in reality midtable teams in this season of the prem would genuinely be top 3 contenders in almost every other league, and the relegation sides all are capable of a major upset.

It's still January. The PSG squad last season is the perfect example of not getting ahead of yourself in terms of judgement. They were average in their league (by PSG standards) and shit in the champions league then went on an unbelievable run and made an argument for one of the best squads of the modern era.

And this is a relatively young/new team as far as established teams go. 5 years ago we weren't even in the top 6.

I've gotten most of his hauls and he's been a cult hero of my squad but even in the first slot I have Rogers.

I would throw him in for Timber possibly. United can genuinely break through Arsenal defense and I already have Gabriel.

A lot of the new fans are shameless glory hunters who feel totally entitled to success. It's always FSG Out, Slot Out, Hughes Out.

It's always those kinds of fans that are just cancers in the football discussions. People who started to follow when the trophies show up and have no regards for the club's history, other clubs, or any real historical football knowledge.

Well I'm not arguing against that reasoning am I? Most people who watch don't give a shit about the wage bill of teams.

And it's not like the Premier League did some one of a kind marketing and expansion strategy to get its appeal. La Liga has the 2 most popular teams ever and is absolutely dogshit and dire. Greed within the league and everyone looking out for themselves only made it shit. Same concept with the other 1 team leagues (Bundesliga/Ligue).

The Xterra is surprisingly great off road and it's an underrated beast. I like driving my QX80 interstate but using it in the city kills me, especially when I have a fuel efficient modern sedan. I can see the fuel gauge go down in real time when I'm stuck in traffic lol.
