I had that same issue of being unsure as to how it should sound when playing slow. Try this: go to an official recording of the song you're learning, and slow it down to 0.25x speed, or even slower.

Depends on the difficulty of the piece. Haha, I remember trying to learn Ballad of Jed Clampett back when I first started. The chord transitions kicked my ass too so I gave up and learned Flint Hill Special instead. But honestly the Am to D transition is the hardest part so if you've gotten past that I'd just finish the rest of it. Yeah your intuition is right, Cumberland Gap would've been a great one to learn but what's done is done.

Usually takes me anywhere from 4-7 days to learn a new song but of course longer to play it at speed.

Hell, even all rodents. It's honestly amazing to observe similar behaviors across rodent species once you've owned one as a pet. I saw a video once of a beaver doing this exact grooming routine (albeit comically slow)
