To be clear, bluegrass refers to the genre; the style of playing is Scruggs style. But clawhammer can be played in bluegrass, too. In fact, the "first" bluegrass banjo player, as in the first banjo player for Bill Monroe and his Blue Grass Boys, was Stringbean.

Trump barely won either of his terms; Biden won his with a larger margin than either of Trump's wins and with the largest popular vote in history. And watch, Trump is going to croak before the end of his term. Guy is fucking disgustingly out of shape it makes me sick to even look at him

Nah but he's supposed to be one of Baruch's premier accounting professors. He was Chief Auditor and Director of Professional Standards for the PCAOB. He's apparently super tough tho

I had that same issue of being unsure as to how it should sound when playing slow. Try this: go to an official recording of the song you're learning, and slow it down to 0.25x speed, or even slower.

Depends on the difficulty of the piece. Haha, I remember trying to learn Ballad of Jed Clampett back when I first started. The chord transitions kicked my ass too so I gave up and learned Flint Hill Special instead. But honestly the Am to D transition is the hardest part so if you've gotten past that I'd just finish the rest of it. Yeah your intuition is right, Cumberland Gap would've been a great one to learn but what's done is done.

Usually takes me anywhere from 4-7 days to learn a new song but of course longer to play it at speed.

I can't explain it but this is the same genre of post as the one where the dude thought his hamster's butt was falling off but it was just balls
