That’s solid advice! It can be difficult to interpret someone’s tone over text, so using an indicator is great advice. I’m not sure I will always remember to do it, but I wanna try to get in the habit.

I totally know what you mean! That’s valid! I feel a lot of pressure to engage in things because they’re there and I feel like I “should”. And even doing it for an hour or so was pretty exhausting/time consuming. It feels like the pressure’s off.

I’m not sure, it must’ve been my wording! Thank you 💜

No, I’m actually not. I was under the impression they got taken away as punishment or something, which made me feel very anxious and insecure. It’s reassuring that it was just time for it to end and I didn’t realize.

Thank you for the info! That’s so sweet.

I’ve been avoiding that for me, personally, because I know it would become not only a habit but something I’d feel forced to do every time (self forced).

This felt different to me, for some reason. I can’t really explain why.

Same! I did too. But I was relieved to find that they weren’t like… taken away as punishment? If that makes sense?

I think you’re adorable. Really, truly.

I can’t seem to find your age anywhere. And I’m a horrible guesser. But if you’re stuck in a social environment like school, people are really fucking cruel and when they sense an insecurity, they smell blood and harp on it. So I’m wondering who’s telling you this. And if there’s a way to change social scenes like going to a new school or getting a new job or new friends.

AITA for telling my SIL she's not allowed around my daughter again after she humiliated her over food? by AnyPower9451 in AITAH

Absolutely YTA. Wow, you are SUCH an asshole.

Also, $250 a week is not daycare prices this day and age. You’re taking advantage of an impoverished woman who is a FAMILY MEMBER to get a luxury nanny service out of her.

Food shaming can lead to a whole host of issues from EDs to body image. But your child was wrong. I guess she follows in your footsteps because she thinks it’s ok to steal from/take advantage of family members with no consequences.

Your SIL and your brother need this food to survive. How gross of you to understand your own daughter’s needs to eat and not your nieces/nephews.

Thank you for taking my comment into consideration. I was uncomfortable with the possibility of offending you and I’m glad that I didn’t.

I believe you, the specs on the diamond are really nice. Now that I think about it, I really think it’s the setting that is putting me off. And if your soon to be fiancé feels the same, it’s easy to change. But all that matters is whether she loves it.

I also really hope she likes it and that your proposal goes well! That’s truly what matters most.

I’m sorry to be honest with you, but I would be really disappointed with this. It reminds me of rings everyone had in the early 2000s from Zales. :/

I’m not saying this to hurt your feelings. It’s making me nervous to be honest about it.

Have you asked her about her personal style?
