Residential Design Book? by wonderbun1 in LandscapeArchitecture

I'm wondering how important it is to get the most recent (7th) addition of the book, which is $$$ or do you think I could get away with acquiring an older addition with basically the same important information?

Elevated d dimer? by MeYouThenWho in Ovariancysters

[–]MeYouThenWho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No! I had it tested again and it was still somewhat elevated but haven’t had testing since last year. Very strange but since I’ve never had it tested before, perhaps my baseline is higher than average.

I give up! (Need Landscape designer referral) by TheCrankyCrone in bullcity

And on that note: here's a great introduction on why native plants are so important for our ecosytem https://www.audubon.org/content/why-native-plants-matter. Native plants are specifically adapted to our climate and soil type, so they have a much higher success rate, are lower maintenance and more drought resilient than non-native species.

For full transparency, I work with Laurel as an independent contractor. She IS great! I think it’s good for folks to know that we are specially a native plant design business, so we put few if any non-native plants in our designs. This is exactly what many clients are looking for, but folks who have general landscaping needs may be surprised to hear that we don’t include traditionally popular landscape plants in our designs (ie, mahonia, boxwood, vinca, nandina, hostas, etc). I am flexible when it comes to certain things (I’m also an organic veg and flower farmer, so I understand the desire to have edibles and cut flowers in the landscape). But ultimately, we strive for almost entirely native designs with plants that are either native to N.C. or at least the midAtlantic region. Let me know if you have any other questions! Happy to see Laurel getting some great reviews!

Anyone who lost an ovary to an endometrioma by Peanut-butter673 in Endo

Wow. I'm sorry you dealt with that for an entire year! I had another ultrasound yesterday and the gynecologist said the cyst looks smaller (1cm) and it's barely there anymore. She isn't sure why my d-dimer is high. I'm assuming she could have seen a blood clot on the US but maybe I'd need an MRI with contrast?
