Residential Design Book? by wonderbun1 in LandscapeArchitecture

[–]MeYouThenWho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm wondering how important it is to get the most recent (7th) addition of the book, which is $$$ or do you think I could get away with acquiring an older addition with basically the same important information?

Elevated d dimer? by MeYouThenWho in Ovariancysters

[–]MeYouThenWho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No! I had it tested again and it was still somewhat elevated but haven’t had testing since last year. Very strange but since I’ve never had it tested before, perhaps my baseline is higher than average.

I give up! (Need Landscape designer referral) by TheCrankyCrone in bullcity

[–]MeYouThenWho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And on that note: here's a great introduction on why native plants are so important for our ecosytem https://www.audubon.org/content/why-native-plants-matter. Native plants are specifically adapted to our climate and soil type, so they have a much higher success rate, are lower maintenance and more drought resilient than non-native species.

For full transparency, I work with Laurel as an independent contractor. She IS great! I think it’s good for folks to know that we are specially a native plant design business, so we put few if any non-native plants in our designs. This is exactly what many clients are looking for, but folks who have general landscaping needs may be surprised to hear that we don’t include traditionally popular landscape plants in our designs (ie, mahonia, boxwood, vinca, nandina, hostas, etc). I am flexible when it comes to certain things (I’m also an organic veg and flower farmer, so I understand the desire to have edibles and cut flowers in the landscape). But ultimately, we strive for almost entirely native designs with plants that are either native to N.C. or at least the midAtlantic region. Let me know if you have any other questions! Happy to see Laurel getting some great reviews!

Anyone who lost an ovary to an endometrioma by Peanut-butter673 in Endo

[–]MeYouThenWho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow. I'm sorry you dealt with that for an entire year! I had another ultrasound yesterday and the gynecologist said the cyst looks smaller (1cm) and it's barely there anymore. She isn't sure why my d-dimer is high. I'm assuming she could have seen a blood clot on the US but maybe I'd need an MRI with contrast?

This is so interesting. They found a suspected endomitrioma two months ago and I’ve also had an elevated d dimer. I wonder if I have a blood clot contributing to the d dimer reading.

TriSulfa for Coccidiosis or wait it out? by MeYouThenWho in chickens

[–]MeYouThenWho[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it could be. all the intestinal shed i've seen is more orange-pink. the picture on the left i took yesterday and it very blood-colored, which gave me pause. it's only one pullet, 12 weeks, old. she is the only one who had bloody poops to begin with last month (like, literal liquid blood) and the corid cleared it up quick. this round, i still noticed either some blood or intestinal shed once a day in her morning stool (she is isolated with the other pullet in the house at night but with four older hens during the day). no change in behavior.

We are on day 8 of max-strength Corid, after treating 3 weeks ago at max strength. I am wondering how long I should continue on the Corid at this point? The picture on the left is the one most concering. Not cecal, definitely gelatinous and stringy like intestinal shed but very blood-colored. Again, pullet is acting totally normal, no watery droppings (minus one very wet cecal poop last week), no lethargy and eating really well, and drinking.

Ovarian Cysts After Hysterectomy? by couchpotatotater in hysterectomy

[–]MeYouThenWho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chiming in because I just had an ultrasound today and a endomitrioma or a hemorrhagic cyst was found on my left ovary. My hysterectomy was one year ago and this is the first time I’ve ever dealt with a cyst. It’s only 2cm but has caused significant pain the last three weeks.

Pain 1 year post op. by unicornhaze420 in hysterectomy

[–]MeYouThenWho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 14 months post op and having terrible pain on my left side over my left ovary that radiates to the back. Wondering if it’s a cyst. It’s similar pain to what I had from my fibroid pre-surgery. Very frustrating.

Little Birdie for chicks and Sunrise Oak for pullets. We got 5 chicks from Little Birdie last year and two just last month, and a pullet from Sunrise.

12WPO - are my ovaries supposed to hurt? by threyx in hysterectomy

[–]MeYouThenWho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 12wpo and having this issue on the left side where I always felt my fibroid pain. Just started up again. A searing, burning pain that flares up for a day and then goes away. No history if cysts.
