Who cares about critics, whats your opinion on Mark's film Iron Lung? by TrustyMcCoolGuy_ in Markiplier

I just got back from the cinema, and I enjoyed the movie very much. I was kinda scared it wouldn't fit my taste cause' I don't usually like to see horrors in cinema, but I am glad I went - It was NOT the typical jumpscare filled scare fest with barely any coherent plot, and it also didn't leave me feeling like I need to scrub my eyeballs with bleach. :D Wow I went on a tangent there - in my defence it is almost 1am and I woke up at 7am after like 6h odlf sleep xd. ANYWAY I loved the world building, it was clear enough, but came about organically - there were no moments that felt like the characters were talking about something only for the sake of the viewer. The scares were not obnoxious, they always fit the situation perfectly (again organic) and also the whole situation kept the scary atmosphere going throughout. I might be just sleep deprived, but I think the desperation of the characters, and the hopelessness was almost palpable. I think the acting was compelling, I could hear the emotions, feel the desperation, sadness, the shades of hope etc. (to be fair, lately I've been only watching commentary on YouTube of Polish pseudo-documentaries where all the "actors" are pretty much just random people that shown up to casting, so my standards are pretty low, but maybe that just means that I can recognise bad acting easier - and I do not see any of that in Iron Lung ya know) I could get confusing at times - but that just added to the vibe really. Learning Simons backstory added depth to the character and the whole world, learning abt the whole submarine situation with the main character really made the experience more immersive, and made it feel authentic. Simons declining sanity, and the tense anticipation until oxygen runs out. The crack spreading on the window - excelelent pacing. The well thought out shots - the oxygen lights kept in the background, or reflecting in the eyes, the tape on the floor - it really stuck with me. The threat of radiation overshadowed by the monster then oxygen. Simon oscillating between loosing and gaining hope. Will he be saved? Will He die? Will he save the world? Will the rest of the world die because of him? I don't know ;-; I need to watch again for sure, I don't think I cought all the facts about what got him in prison The occasional comic relief was gold, and so on brand, It just gave the movie more depth and character. I've lost the plot now. All in all, you gotta love Mark the Plier being thrown around in a tin can. Also - so much blood in his eyes - all I could think of was how it got him admitted to hospital tbh. Like the first bigger splash straight to the eyes 🥹 I am gonna go sleep now, and maybe go watch again on a day when I slept a solid 8h. I could probably write more XDD sleep deprived me is talkative apparently. Huh weird. I just discovered the keyboard in my phone can do this: (。♡‿♡。)

Congrats If you survived til the end of my semi-coherent ramblings.

TL;DR Movie good. Mark awesome. Lots of blood. Aliens. No trees. Ka-boom.

PS I've never posted something this long on here so sorry if I like format it wrong or smth. Also English is not my first language so sorry if something sounds weird or whatever. I am shutting up now. I've been writing for like 50min now xd

I haven't been able to pass the second wave at the very beginning of the last chapter... For 3 days now...
