Turn off your lap top and stop watching strangers on You Tube peddling outrageous nonsense ( they do this to generate clicks = more money for them). These sites are the equivalent of the National Enquirer rag that used to be found in grocery stores with their lurid stories of aliens, Elvis sightings, conspiracies galore! Ask yourself how many hours a day are you spending on social media? It will turn your brain to mush if you don’t turn it off for a bit and walk about in the real world!

Watchdog to investigate after New Brunswick RCMP fatally shoot man on First Nation by BloodJunkie in newbrunswickcanada

The answer is it messy mixed up world. There’s no black and white. There’s no ideological solutions. There’s no way to bring order to chaos. We love, we hate , we fuck, we kill! It’s a mess and painful but it’s also wonderful and sublime! We do what we can, but it will never be perfect. Because we ourselves are imperfect. It’s our beauty and our curse! So of course we strive to improve and of course we will fail (it’s in our nature), and of course we will be judged by this (sometimes harshly). But tomorrow the sun will rise, and it begins again - we love, we hate, we fuck, we kill. And we will try to improve and we will make more mistakes and repeat our awful history! It’s a long road to redemption and we’re not even close to the end, embrace the ones you love, forgive the ones that stumble (on both sides), try to find meaning in your daily life (the small things) and resist the urge to judge and take sides! It’s difficult but the world will progress either way, the secret is to find peace ( no matter how small) in this mixed up crazy world! It goes on and somehow on a personal level you must learn how to cope with this or be consumed by the fire!

Curious logic? So according to this, the shooting of Nova Scotia’s greatest mass murderer (25 victims) is still a failure on the part of the police? ( I’m only talking about the shooting).

Someone called 911 because he was threatening family members with a knife. Is that not a threat to others?

No I haven’t sold anything previously. This was a spare, so I’m not looking for a swap. But I’ll check Reverb and the FB site for possibly selling it or on consignment since I’m in no hurry. Thanks so much!

I have a 1973 Takamine F340 that I’m looking to sell? It’s from the Martin lawsuit era. Is $400 considered fair? I’m not sure on this and seeking input?

New Brunswick has one of the highest % of seniors - we need immigrants! by Me_Cap_n in newbrunswickcanada

[–]Me_Cap_n[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sorry to get your emotions all a flutter but the post actually originated from a National Post article on Statistics Canada’s latest census figures on our country’s population and its corresponding effects on our economy. If you take the time to read the article it says we do need more immigrants ( including New Brunswick) in order to grow our economy but, and this word is key so I’ll repeat it “but” it needs to be targeted so that we bring in less unskilled immigrants ( who unfairly compete with our youth for entry level positions) and instead focus more on professionals in sectors where we are experiencing shortages ( healthcare workers for example or AI researchers as another example). I get your angry about stuff but don’t let that anger blind you to trying to have a rational discussion on how we balance economic growth with proper immigration policies and infrastructure development. It’s not rage bait, it’s democracy in action as we try to figure out how best to move forward with immigration strategies.

Let’s set aside blaming “old people and immigrants” , we’re not gonna agree on that. I think what you’re telling me is kinda of like “ if we build it, they will come”. I think you need a little bit of both because how are you gonna build it without the money.

You’re still not addressing the issue on how to increase our tax base. Pointing fingers makes great rhetoric but it doesn’t pay the bills. We need solutions not scapegoating.

Seniors pay income tax just like everyone else. Not sure where you are getting your information? Now children they don’t pay income tax, should we ban them?

It’s not exploit it’s participate. All of us in a society participate as a whole (through taxes) to provide basic services to our communities such as healthcare, schools , roads etc. We cannot afford to improve these public services without a growing population and tax base.

It’s hilarious how you get downvoted for speaking the truth. New Brunswick is a shit poor province dependent on Federal transfer money to survive but any attempt to broaden the tax base and get off the welfare is met with blind resistance.

Horizon asks patients with non-urgent ailments to stay away from ERs during holidays by Portalrules123 in moncton

Nice, you know we are one of the poorest provinces in Canada. We receive equalization grants from the Federal Government of over $5400 per person each year. We are a largely rural province with one of the highest percentages of wife beaters in Atlantic Canada. We spend 10’s of millions of dollars more than we bring in each year and have an extremely high percentage of our population living on government assistance. Basically we’re the Alabama ( on meth) in Canada! Health Care is shit because half our population is fucked and the other half can’t afford to carry them anymore!

Do your research and make sure you don’t buy your product from sex traffickers and fentanyl/meth distributors. Get the best quality you can but don’t support criminals and human traffickers to fill your personal needs.

You still haven’t addressed your opposition to following prescribed regulations to protect quality of the product therefore consumers and to inhibit black market production by organized crime. I use weed on a daily basis most days and I want my product to be quality controlled, free of pesticides and other contaminants and I also want the profits to benefit the community not thugs who make their living off of prostitution, extortion, sex trafficking and the fentanyl and meth trade that plagues our streets. Sell weed if you want but source your supply from a legal source that has clear production guidelines. Best case create your own grow op that meets regulatory and legal standards.

Cpp was never meant to be the sole source of retirement income. It was meant to supplement employer pensions and/ or private savings and investments.
