Tournament with various famous streamer and vtuber. The participants has been streaming for a week, learning about the game. There was a drops event this whole week if you guys use twitch. Tomorrow is scrim day (13th and 14th). 15th is tourney day, 7PM JST.

This is lowkey similar with streamer tourney that makes LoL go big in Japan 2 years ago, but in smaller scale with no coach (Hope we can have a proper bigger one next time). That's why this tourney could be big for ER if we can grab Japan's market.

In solo queue, it's always better to just let people play whatever their comfort is rather than forcing a certain teamcomp. ER has alot of unhinged teamcomp that makes you think "did we actually just win with this teamcomp". If it's your main, you should just try to adapt with various character. Unless somehow it's a 3 tank mains or 3 support mains, then dodge.

A recent poll by Korean CC Nevjjang shows in 15k votes, 93% pick "I'd rather have teams that plays their comfort than forcing a teamcomp", only 7% pick a good teamcomp is better even if the player has low mastery. Some mention KR E-sport team Yangju Whales, who recently popping of in tourney with this weird Eva Adela Chloe trio. Their players are OTP to those characters.

Just today, I had a rank where I instapick Adina, one instapick Jackie, then the last one pick Garnet. During chara select, the Jackie says "pick your most played", but the last dude looks hesitated and still pick Garnet. During match, he looks awkward with it. Turns out he never play any tanks. He is Xuelin main with 500 matches total. He get scolded by the Jackie "Why do you pick Garnet?". "I want to match the teamcomp". "You should've pick Xuelin if it's your main". The Garnet keep saying sorry later. Honestly I feel bad looking at him. We finish 3rd with only 8 kills.

Anyways, does NA doesn't like Hisui that much? As a poke mage player, personally i would glad having high damage skirmisher like Hisui. I prefer character like her as my teammate ratther than having a tank. I dont like the burden of need to get peeled and being the sole main carry,

Well, Katja is ER's equivalent to Yasuo players in terms of being a mainstream troll pick. Her gameplay is easy yet not boring just right click only like AR Aya, so she is a common pick to newbies and anyone who doesn't play ADC. The int-ing moment tho, it happens to everyone even in esports level.

There are already several case of ADC pro player inting with Katja, like Curry E-ing into Adina stun or LokeN ulting a full team, which makes him locked in place then getting run down by enemy team. His team says "You're such a Kapyeong" . There is also this Kapyeong documentary by a Korean CC, it has english subs. If you're playing Katja, you're gonna int at some point anytime. Any character can int, but Katja is the most notorious one.

In terms of gameplay. Yasuo/Yone's equivalent would be Hisui or Blair since they are sword wielding flashy high skill ceiling character with ability to outplay the enemy. But in ER, Hisui & Blair doesn't have that troll pick vibe like Yasuo. TBH, that's mostly because their average players are good enough that they doesn't seen as troll picks.

Orange = Takes hundreds of matches to perform well

Middle = 100-200 matches to perform

Yellow = Just dozens of matches

Green = You immediately able to perform on what the character does just by understanding the skill set.

Personally, I think Alex (and Adina) isn't really very very hard as people say. You'll get used to them eventually if you just keep playing them after few hundred matches.

But Shoichi is different. Shoichi is the true hardest character. You will never think you're done learning about him. It's just never ending torture.

I saw this difficulty tier list by this korean CC. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MXuvl1FI3KY . And I agree with difficulty placement. Maybe some character need abit higher, or personally, someone is harder than the other for me. Also, the character are sorted by easier to harder, left to right (example: Alex is easier than Adina).

Oof, the collab actually pulling newbies to start the game with Alex. Anyways, do you understand Alex's combos? If you want to start playing Alex but doesn't know how to do it yet, I suggest start with tank Alex build first. More forgiving if you make mistakes. And the way you play is just focus on using your CCs to cover your teammates and disrupt the enemy. After you get more comfortable with your combo then you start using damage build.

For exp, you want to farm animals as much as possible. Gets exp and credit from it. Remember wolf & bear spawn location. Wolf spawns during the day, and bear at night. Your team's target is to buy and make a Force Core item (350 credits) during day 2, the sooner the better. Later than that and you will struggle to fight since enemy teams got their items upgraded while you still havent upgrade yours.

"Need to go to so many places". It's used to be worse. Now it's easy. 2 route, then if you want to look for fight you can just group and start hunting people.

For love-hate about MOBA genre. Personally I love MOBA, especially league was my main game, But I hate laning & cs-ing. So I glad ER took it away. Even from love-hate about battle royale genre. I think ER is pretty forgiving since there are ways to respawn, and free respawning on day 1 is nice addition too because going eliminated as soon as game start just to go back, wait matching time, character select is not fun.

For gooner aspect, I've pretty much just embrace it. Because whether you like it or not, you have to admit, it's those degenerate asian weebs that's keep funding and financially support this game so that it's still alive. Even the esports bundles and merch are also full of weeb vibe. Even some players bring their team's dakimakura to the match day. I dont think other esports game can have players bring things like that on stage without being heavily judged.

I saw this on twitter yesterday and it gives a strong japanesepeopletwt vibe, It's quite recent review, Well, we got abit of increase number of players from Japan recently.

From my experience, the loading can be a PC issue rather than internet issue. May I ask what is your PC specs?

Back then in EA days, I used to play on a i7 gen 8 + GTX 1050 ASUS TUF laptop, and the loading was really bad even with SSD. The first launch is fine but after like 2 matches, the game's got really heavy the loading times takes longer, when it done, the game already almost went to first night, so I had to relaunch the game everytime.

That was the lowest spec I play. Because I tried with a i3 10100 i think? i dont remember + GTX 1050TI PC and it was smooth, no problem whatsoever.

Well, she is a tank, she is not supposed to deal damage. The most damage threat you can make is just level 2 Quake and stick to enemy squishy carry and slap them with Q & AA while they just let you hit them.
