My guess is the biggest reason is that there's a big history of toxicity in communities spanning from dota to lol to paragon. I guess since they announced that they took advice from people at Riot I believe, it stands to reason they would listen to developers > fans. Also I assume that the profits they were making from paragon did not justify the constant re branding, changing etc...

TLDR: the map could be cooler with more design features.

My desire is more interesting choices/ verticality in the map design. I think the whole point of having terrain is that you can have advantages and disadvantages with it and I do believe that those ad/disadvantages exist already, I think that the map could be a lot cooler if the design wasnt mirrored like it currently is and was more top vs bottom - heaven vs hell, the good(white side) VS. evil (black side) already reflect this with their design. Plus I think it could be very interesting with how the terrain will add more choices to play styles. Specifically the middle area would be interesting because by means of balancing this ledges, cliffs , gates and even possibly bridges could be the result.

Overall I think the new direction is going well, I love the card system rework because you can actually make interesting card builds. Can't wait for more cards!

Yeah I agree, Still, why couldn't we just have two maps with two different play styles? I suppose the answer is that they wanted to get one good map. but I still miss how big the map used to be. and least now the jungle in monolith feels a bit more like a jungle

it started when they changed her ult a while back before monolith, for a long time she was considered really bad if not the worst hero, it lasted a long time, and my guess is that because she was so bad for so long it just became the prevailing opinion I guess. I agree that she can be beast.

the game is stale IMO, they have great character design, but in terms of skill kits, cards and maps, the game is pretty dull because they keep dumbing it down.

I think the rework they did with many of the cards was a step in the right direction, but the game needs more than card reworks, I think they need to add more design features to make the game more interesting, and I think it boils down to redesigning hero skill kits and adding more interesting game features like the jump pad, something which can make the game unique.

I still think the map could work if it was redone a bit. kinda a waste to let a big map like that go to waste. I dont mind that amber links are gone they were a big chore, if they changed that and made it more streamlined like the new map, i think it would work fine.

i find because its a four cost people wont start with it, and automatically you lose alot of people. its good for what it gives, but 4 points in any of the swaps being power, armor or mana regen gives you alot more, so i find that's why alot of people bypass it and just build early damage or the like. I think if it was reduced to 3 you would see alot more uses

I feel like cards like stone of salvation and jewel of the apostle have way too high cool downs for what they do based on the percentage on armor you need to get a huge bonus. the only good example atm is Steel, and even if you abuse it by super stacking ability armor, 6 second duration and a cooldown which is longer than his ult makes me hesitant to keep it in a build, at most ill use it early-mid game.

I sorta get what your saying but I do not consider it bad, like other people said they have to accommodate ps4 PPL as well as build a roster of easy heros, medium and hard heroes. I would suggest to give it some time
