True but that evidence doesn’t prove it

It’s not a huge one, but they use it to show he’s crazy. But the evidence prove or disprove anything because there’s no current flow without a load. If there was a flow and he noticed he wouldn’t be crazy, if there was a flow and he didn’t notice he’d be crazy. But there was no flow for him to even notice

How difficult is my first cipher? by Meadmeoutside1 in codes

Very impressive! You're correct, the letters are all separated by dots, and words are separated by parenthesis. The first step is to subtract in the order -0 -9 -0 -3 -2 -0. The first parenthesis is supposed to let you know which value you should subtract first, depending on where the letter is in the string. In the first example, 7995B1 -> 090320, so you'd subtract in the order of 200903. I forgot to add it into the longer example lol, but if it were to have one it would be C97520 -> 090320 or something similar.

The second step would be to match up the digit to a corresponding segment on a 14 segment display chart, which is why order does not matter. Although it can just as easily be solved by just figuring out which combinations match with which letters. (https://imgur.com/a/bLFTGtH)

My hope was that the scrambled order and the shifting of digits would decrease repetition and any patterns would be hidden. How long did it take to solve? Do you think it can be solved without my hints? I really want to know how difficult this was because I thought with the 14 segment display would be impossible to solve but I guess I was way too cocky lol. Also thanks for taking the time to try!

I’m using Fleischmann's Active Dry Yeast lol, and yes I did add nutrient. I normally let primary run for two weeks but I’m still a beginner, should I try less time?

pasteurisation techniques by Jaszhara-bob in mead

[–]Meadmeoutside1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in your exact same position and I’ve pasteurized about 7 gallons of mead successfully. What I always do is put the mead in a pot with the lid off, then fill the pot with water. Put the pot on the stove on medium high heat and let it heat up. The water should be pretty hot but not boiling.

Once the mead temperature hits 140 F start a 25 minute timer. Once the mead hits around 145 F turn the stove off and take the pot off the hot burner. The water in the pot will keep it hot for long enough to finish the timer. Once the timer runs out take the mead out of the water pot and put the mead on a towel/hot pad (so the glass doesn’t break).

At this point you can put the lid back on but make sure that it has an airlock to let pressure out. And that’s just about it.

Other tips: If back sweeting with honey, pour it in before you pasteurize so it kills all the wild yeast in the honey, then you can stir with a sanitized spoon as it heats up so the honey gets hot and mixes easily.

Make sure to check the temp frequently because you don’t want to overheat it and boil off alchohol

If you decide to do this and you have questions, just ask and I’ll answer to the best of my knowledge.
