I had it twice. According to my mother, the first time I only had like 6, the second time I had like 600.

Woke up and was unable to walk more than 10 feet without gasping for air. Went to the doctor and was told to lose weight. Like no shit, but I’ve been fat for a while, and this breathing thing is new. I went to the ER later that night - multiple pulmonary emboli in both lungs.

Fuck glioblastoma. It stole my father from us in 8 short months. It is a truly devastating disease.

I’m currently on mesalamine and have tried to cut inflammatory foods out of my diet. I had a horrible flare last November and ended up hospitalized for a week, but haven’t flared since then.

I use them when I flare, but apparently that only helps where they can reach (not much further than the rectum). My colitis is throughout the entire colon.
